Advocate Sarah Bramblette at TEDx Event

January 30, 2015

ObesityHelp would like to congratulate Sarah Bramblette of Born2lbfat on her upcoming TEDxNSU event on March 28, 2015 in Fort Lauderdale, FL.  Sarah is one of the speakers on the esteemed panel for the TEDx event.

Sarah is a member of the ObesityHelp team and a long-term member of OH.  Sarah is a dedicated health care and insurance advocate.  Her relentless advocacy commitments have made a difference in countless lives.  Sarah was awarded the 2014 Member of the Year by the Obesity Action Coalition and  first place in the Health Central’s Live Bold Anti-Stigma Contest, 2014.  Sarah's advocacy has taken her to lobby on Capitol Hill for the Lymphedema Treatment Act where she personally met with some of our country's  leaders in Washington, D.C.

bethechangeThe theme for this TEDx event is Perception.  As a speaker, the theme of Perception fits well with Sarah's advocacy.  From her tireless advocacy efforts, she has changed the perception of obesity bias, insurance rights and health issues. In fact, Sarah is so passionate about advocacy that she is obtaining a Masters degree in Health Law.  Sarah lives with the chronic conditions of Lipedema and Lymphedema with a "sky is the limit" attitude and confidence.  From speaking about these chronic conditions, she has raised the awareness of Lipedema and Lymphedema, and supported many OH members that didn't even know they had these conditions until hearing Sarah's story.  Whether appearing on The Doctors television show, featured in an article in Psychology Today, or her activity on OH and in our National Conferences, and social media, Sarah is an inspiration and touches the lives of people in many ways.

Watch for the release of the recorded event on TEDxNSU.  If you'd like to meet Sarah, she will be at the 2015 ObesityHelp National Conference.

One person can make a difference and Sarah Bramblette does exactly that.
