Hello! Do you all want to have a Halloween Meet and Greet Friday night?
Comment by WILL0630 on Sep 11, 2011 at 05:13pm
That was done a couple years back in Rye, NY. While I didn't go all out with the costume it was a lot of fun.
Comment by I_AM_A_READING_ACCOUNT on Sep 18, 2011 at 07:43pm
I really hope there is. Costume party- it was so much fun last time!
Comment by thinner56 on Sep 21, 2011 at 03:45pm
Are the CE schedule open to professionals only?
Comment by MamaBplus3 on Sep 25, 2011 at 05:23am
Will there be a clothing exchange?? It was such a big hit when we did it at Rye, NY.
Comment by liesehaley on Sep 26, 2011 at 05:53pm
Is there a PDF we can download for the list of events, panels and vendors? want to maximize my time wisely. don't want to miss a thing i want to see and do for my 1st WLS con.
Comment by kim_inca7 on Sep 27, 2011 at 03:43pm
Whew...I have to catch up! Yes, there is a costume party on Friday night, 7 pm to 10 pm in the Vanderbilt Room. The CE is for the professionals to gain course credits; if anyone else attends, it will still be a course and there is no time for extended interaction. The Q & A from 1 pm to 4 pm is open to everyone to ask questions of pros and grads. Sorry, there is no clothing exchange scheduled for this one. Our space is limited at this particular location. There is a print button on this page so you can print out the schedule. Many vendors are listed in the sponsor area.

Please call the hotel; Carol Cozza is my contact there, and they have extended our block pricing until 10/3. Let them know you're with the OH conference. Parking is complimentary.

Will the programs be accessible for deaf people? Will you have interpreters?
Comment by kim_inca7 on Oct 07, 2011 at 06:12pm
If you are registered and in need of interpreters, please email kim@obesityhelp.com so this can be coordinated immediately. Thanks!

Best part is the pool and jacquizzi are staying open until 11:00pm, so let's all strut our hotness :-)
Comment by liesehaley on Oct 10, 2011 at 10:10pm
a couple of the CE classes look interesting can anyone go to those?
Comment by kim_inca7 on Oct 11, 2011 at 11:17pm
The CE is a course taught by Dr. Stapleton; professionals can earn up to 8 credits for this, and it's a separate registration fee from the OH event. Link is on the event page. These are classes, so will not be discussion periods like the Q & A will.
Comment by big_ideas on Oct 12, 2011 at 05:39am
the grad panel on Friday - is that open to the public? I'd love to attend that!
Comment by kim_inca7 on Oct 12, 2011 at 02:19pm
Absolutely...it's included and is packed with professionals to answer those nagging questions...Register at noon, then 1 pm to 4 pm is Q & A!
Comment by kim_inca7 on Oct 12, 2011 at 02:21pm
Don't forget...we have been able to add a clothing exchange...it's in the Huntington Room and drop off is Friday starting at 9 am, will open to public around noon. Gently used, washed clothing please!

I CANT WAIT TO ZUMBA!!!!!!!!! AND i HAVE MY COSTUME READY TO ROLL!!!
Comment by crazydavythe1st on Oct 20, 2011 at 09:18pm
Looking forward to it...hopefully it's less of a disaster for me than the NOLA event. Guess I'm bitter than I didn't get my free shirt for signing up early, and couldn't get a bag with tickets because a few of the ladies had gone by and stolen tickets out of the bags for more chances to win, to name just a couple of things.
