William Elijah spent his entire life on the diet treadmill, losing and regaining 100 pounds at least three times in his 41 years. William made the decision to have open Roux-en-Y surgery in June of 2003. Understanding the risk and knowing the lifestyle change that had to occur, William took to the process with all the energy and vigor of a man being released from a life sentence from prison. Through the gastric bypass, he lost over 300 pounds.
