Bit of advise...  get back on the scale and do weigh****chers on-line..  I love it.  I dont have to go to stupid meetings but I can track everything I eat on my iphone. . Hang in there and make the decision that you are not gaining the weight back. !

Not sure if any of you are still following this but I too have started gaining back some weight and I am freaking out.  It feels like I just keep getting larger and larger.  This past summer I had to have a bowel revision due to a hernia repair I had in the summer of 2010.  I actually lost the weight I had started gaining but think it had alot to do with the surgery and issues.  Now that I have healed I am back to the same bad eating habits. I was at my all time low after surgery which was 121lbs in August 2011.  I am now up to 134, that's 13 lbs in 4 months.  OMG I feel out of control too!!  I am finally done with school so I now just have 40 hrs of work, one night and sat at the salon and have 3 kids.  I need to find a way to get back on track.  I can't get any larger I will not buy larger pants but I am so stuffed in them right now if I don't lose quick I may have to.

How are you all doing? Any advice to give? I really need some help and support :/

    Hey there!
I was in the same boat....I learned how to eat around my lapband which is not good!  I have found something all natural that has really helped me.  I have lost 11 pounds this past month.....I have had so many people ask how I did it that I started selling it....go to my site & click on the weight loss link on the left....it will take you to my site and you can read all about it!

I totally feel your pain and frustration.  I am up 13 pounds since this time last year!  I just seem to have lost my motivation... I too have stopped taking my vitamins.  I am disappointed in myself, and feel like such a failure!  But... I think that we just need to focus, and make ourselves a priority again!  We made a crucial decision to have bariatric surgery, and it took alot of work on or part to lose the weight and become healthier....so we need to gain back our motivation and be more conscious of what we are eating!  We can do it!  We have each other for support.

Oh I am right there with you!  Last year at this time I was 145 lbs ... I am now at 155 lbs ... I feel so bloated and gross.  Tomorrow I start the pouch test ... I just need to get off this kick of grossly bad food!  I try so hard & fail ... this is why I was almost 300 lbs!  I am so afraid to get heavier.  I am out of control and even when I know I am going to get sick & be miserable for an hour after I eat those nasty carbs/fried food I STILL freakin' do it!  I work 50 hours a week and have 3 kids ... so exercising is totally out for me for the time being.  I just want to cry & I am so disappointed in myself!  UGH .... Hope we all can turn our eating around again & lose the weight we put on!

    Well hello!

    I hear ya!
I have put on 5lbs from my what I thought my maintained  for some time weight. I also FREAK out!! I am going to wake up and be my pre-op weight.
What I try to do is get back on the scale, start my morning with protein shake or bar and then on cutting back on my carbs and sweets. I am back down 2.5 lbs but would like to get to my lower post op weight so I have that wiggle room. I was not doing well with my vits (pure laziness) but 3 months ago found out my iron was severly low and have had to have infusions. I have had a round of 4, 14 days apart and probably will have to have more. I have felt aweful! So fatigued!! Out of breath, not sleeping and have had heart issues to boot!
I am not sure if I was consistant with my vits that non of this would have happened but....take your vits. For 2 years my labs were great and then bang! Trouble.
So I am sure you are not the only one.....15 lbs may seem like a lot but look how much you have lost. Get on the scale, re-look at what and how much you are eating and make changes. It is not too late. It is never to late. Get a grip now but for it really gets out of control.
    Keep me posted,
    Lisa

1 cup of kashi go lean, and a half a cup of yogurt. Yogurt has like 6 grams of protein and the cereal has 13..and like 9 grams of fiber to boot......

eat it slow...chew well....and trust me it will fill you up....and sustain you to lunch....

Sending lots of best wishes and encouragement out to you.  It's the best decision I've ever made in my life.  I look and feel so much better than I have in years.  I'm wearing a size 8 and I went I went into surgery a size 22.  I'm down 112 lbs with only 15 to go.

All the best to you.  Dr. Genaw is awesome!  Get ready for a brand new life!!!!!  Yeah!

I am so glad to see your post. I am working on losing my 15 pounds before RNY surgery to be done in January of February.  I have the same surgeon. I am glad you are doing well. I have seen some post where people had so much trouble they have had it reversed. Congrats on your loss.

     Hi Karen,
Thank you so much for your encouraging words.  I am hanging in there and like you, I'm terrified of ever gaining back the lost weight.  Thankfully, I'm not gaining any weight, just floating around within 2 lbs over the past several months.

Congrats to you for reaching your goal and beyond.  Keep up the great work!

Just keep trying & don't give up!  I have been at 145 for the last 4 months or so ... I reached my goal & beyond, but I am still afraid of gaining back the weight.  Maybe your body just settles at that weight, maybe it's the ideal weight that you body wants to stand still at.  Try changing up your calorie intake or adding more exercise.  Good luck & you did an amazing job thus far!!

    Topic: RE: New goals?
I am where I need to be at weight wise and very happy with it. My goals are more of the fitness ones. I am trying very hard to push myself more in the gym. I try to go at least 4 days per week. I go to a booty and thighs class, rebound class and spend time in the elliptical and treadmill.
My other goals are to stop grazing!

Wow, I really must check on here more often!
    I am loving life!
Shopping and going to the gym fill my life now. I need to find a job or something to keep up with my spending habits!
I am 5'9 and wearind size 8/10 bottoms and  M tops
Happy with my progress, happy with myself!
My mother in law gave me a picture yesterday. It was me back in August '08. I really must fix my scanner and scan the picture. I could not believe what I used to look like. It was at a different angle than any picture I had seen of me pre-op. My butt and legs look so incredibly large. I had no clue I had got to that point. I showed it to my husband and his jaw dropped and he said  "NO WAY, that's NOT you!!!"

    Topic: Feeling stuck...
I been playing with the same 2-3 lbs for the past two months.  I am stuck at this number and I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced a stall like this.  My WL seems to have really slowed down and I have about 25-30lbs to go.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Topic: New goals?
    Hello Fellow Jan 09 Band-its

Has anyone set any new goals since their 1 year anniversary? My initial goal was 100 pounds I reached that and now I am going to lose another 50 pounds. My Doc was very excited to see me and the progress I made and asked me to be a speaker I told her I need to think about that because I do not have the best review of the band lol I actually had to have an unfill because I was so tight-well I will spare you the details- I've been using Weigh****chers since July anyway so I going to start getting more fills shortly but the goal is to keep the downward trend going.

     Hey Lisa,

Congratulations on the incredible weight loss.  Like you, for the first time in years, I'm wearing tight jeans and belts and I feel great in them.  The weight loss has certainly boosted my self esteem and made me much healthier inside and out.

    Keep up the great work!
