    I just tried to book an appointment with Dr. Mitchell in Calgary and he is now charging $5000.00 for a 5 year commitment....If I had an extra $5000.00 kicking around I wouldn't have left the country to have it done in the first place.

    Any suggestions as to who else does fills with out costing an extra $5000.000?!?!  I live in Edmonton but will be travelling to get fills.

    I travel from Lloydminster to a great nurse in Saskatoon. She has given me 3 fills now. Great lady. Lorna King.. She is a R.N. 75.00 each fill. Plus she has the band. As well She hosts a support meeting in Saskatoon. www.sasksurgicalsolutions.com/ 306 373 1879.

    Thank you so much for the information, I have been running into so many problems finding someone to do fills.  It would be great to see a medical professional that really knows what it "really" like since they have/are going through the same thing.

    Were you able to find someone closer than Saskatoon.  I too live in Edmonton and am considering surgery, but don't want to pay the $5,000.

    No, I have not found anyone closer.  

    More and more doctors all across Canada have been advised to not treat people who have gone out of country to have the procedure done. 

    I am going to Saskatoon on the 10th for my first fill.  I am driving this time, if it goes well I will keep my eye on seat sales!  The RN doing it seems to have schedule flexibility, not just Monday to Friday 9-5 so that is a plus, since have of the battle going anywhere are business hours.

    I can let you know how it goes if it helps any.

    I personally have not called and tried to make an appointment for a fill.  However, I have read on several different posts that you have to be a member/patient of the Weight Wise Clinic to have the fills done by Dr. Birch or Dr. Davey.

    Thanks for the info about getting fills in Saskatoon.  I also called Dr. Mitchell in Calgary and was told the same thing.  I want to have a plan in place for fills before I have the surgery done in Mexico.

    Hello there!  I talked to Dr. Mitchell's office today to book a fill for June 18th and they said it would be $150.00.  Hope this helps!
