So excited, my sleeve will happen Aug 14. Anyone else having surgery that day? Incredible that it was so soon, I was expecting Oct. Yippee...its going to be a great 2 months filled with excitement and anticapation.

how long ago did you meet with the surgeon?

I only seen him that day...apparently he dances to the beat of his own drummer and doesnt always follow the clinic procedures :( so I have been told. I have checked and double checked because I was worried that it would be cancelled, but I have be re-assured that it is really happening. Its kinda crappy because I know alot of people who are still waiting to find out a date, and I just happened into mine, without a wait. I hear its because he only does a few clinics and knows his surgery schedule while some of the other surgeons don`t.

I agree its fast...but its apparently a formal go. I even checked again today to make sure as I was worried it was a mistake.

If things don't continue on this course then I will be OK as well, so I am hoping that it is still going to happen as planned and that Aug 14 is the day. I am booked for classes and just waiting the edoscope day...

Keeping my fingers crossed that nothing derails this opportunity.
I have worked very hard to get to this point and I am hoping that hard work and dedication that I have put in pays off.

I think that everyone of us who has waited or is waiting or who has had surgery already puts in 110% and that this is just another tool to get to the best we can all be.

If things change from now...I will let you know. For now, I am going to get excited to be sitting on the losers bench and hope that my goals are achieved.

That is super great news ... my surgery is on the 20AUG12 8am .   I too am really excited.  good luck to you

 Who's your doc?

I am seeing Dr DeGara...he does not do alot of clinics as WW Edmonton, and I had not really heard of him before. When are you having your surgery?

 not sure..i called this mornign and there is 19 people ahead of me...so probably September sometime...

What surgeon do you have? Are you booked for any pre surgical clinics yet? Would love to chat more and see how your journey has been.

i've finished all my official clinics, we go this friday for the seminar and then i'll have clinics to keep up to date on progress before surgery...
