Im 5 weeks out today, and doing great. I've lost 29lbs, and haven't vomited or felt nauseated at all, I have a sleeve of steel... I had surgery with Dr. Davey, have been seeing him in Bonnyville and didn't have to go through weight wise clinic. I had two weeks of full fluids after surgery, and then straight to high protein regular diet, Dr. Davey doesn't suggest doing the pureed stage as your drinking your calories and are able to take in more than you would if you chewed well and got fuller faster... So I've been eating everything I want, in moderation... mostly yogurt, cottage cheese, protein smoothie, cheese, deli meats, advocado, and crackers, and whatever meat I cook for the family for supper... no problems with anything, I get full really fast, one cheese string and piece of deli meat is all i can eat at a time, or just 5-6 bites of meat at supper. The first 2 weeks I lost 20lbs, and they say that in week 3-5 you stall as your body heals and catches up with your weight loss. Hoping things speed up, I have 200lbs left to lose, seams like it will take forever but come next summer hope to be half of me :)
