Plastics help

I'm 14 years out RNY. I had regained most of the weight I lost. I'm now getting counseling, changed meds, eating better and furiously exercising. Originally 342, lost almost 100 - regained back to 287. Now I'm 218 and still working.

I just got results showing a hernia. I also have rashes. I really want to have a lower body lift and breast augmentation. I'm willing to do just the lower body lift. BUT I'm not sure how to get it covered. I'm not sure if it's possible, especially since I have AHCCCS (Medicaid). Does anyone have any ideas?4

If your PCP can document that there is a history of rashes secondary to the excess skin, then it may be possible. It just depends on what AHCCCS is willing to do these days. Some docs have financing. Where are you? I'm guessing not Maryland...

I'm in Tucson, Arizona now. The heat makes me sweat 9 months out of the year. There's no possible way to keep dry. I'm going to use the rashes, the fact that I can't run or bike, the large (and probably deep) scars, and my arthritis to try to get the TT. I'll even shoot for the boob job - but don't expect to get it. The most depressing thing is not being able to lift weights like I was. I worked hard to be able to do it! I don't want to lose it!

Dr. Reinke did my TT in 2003. It's still wonderful to spite gaining 70, losing ~130, gaining 97, and now losing 45 again. His partner has a good reputation as well.
