Hi you all.  I am looking for a support group close to Folsom,CA.  Would love to go once a week if possible.  The one thru my doc only meets once every month.

I am only out 4 weeks and having problems eating food.   Met folks online but really need to get hooked into a  group where I can really get to know folks and learn how to live this new life.

I am as far East you can go up HWY 50 that is still in the County of Sacramento.

South Lake Tahoe is about 70 miles east of me.  Placerville where the CA gold rush started is 20 miles east of me.  We live next to Eldorado County.   About 25 miles east of Sacramento downtown.

To the north of me is HWY 80 that goes to Reno,NV.   About 10miles from Placer County  and go to church in  Roseville.

You must have heard of Folsom prison where Johnny Cash sang about.  Not a small town at all  anymore.  Two prisons and huge IT area.  A beautiful Suburb of Sacramento.

Thanks fro sending this phone number to connect until I can find an actual meet up support group.  Unfortunately it went on at 12 noon today and I just got on my email at 1pm.

I truly thank you for this help.  I feel I live in an area that should have a support group and am surprised I can not find one being in Sacramento County. It is unbelievable that I am having this much trouble.

I am having the same problem I live in Ione in Amador County and there was a meeting in Jackson but every time I have gone no one else showed up. So I have never been to a support group meeting since I had surgery.

I feel I  could really use the support, I am doing great on my own but it would be great to meet other people that have had this surgery and see what helps them in areas that I have problems with. Constipation is my biggest problem.

If you find out about a meeting close to you can you please let me know about it too. I would love to go.

You have been doing really well seeingg your weight loss but there is alot to be said about meeting other Surgically Altered Freaks!  (A joke about Bariatric.com tv)

I do have a lady who is out of town right now looking for me.  She goes to three in our areal

If you can get up to Sac county maybe we  can go together.

I live aprox 30 to 45 min south east of Folsom.

From Folsom you would take 50 to Latrobe Road to Hwy 16 left to Hwy 124 into Ione. It is about the same time frame to Placerville from here cause you have to take Hwy 49.

It sounds like your somewhere south of Placerville.   I do not know much about this area.
I used to come up to Cameron Park for years to my ex sister in laws house for holidays.
when I was still married to her brother.

She lives in Placeville now, but I have never been to her house.  I do remember going to Angels Camp years ago.  I am not sure where it is but we got a cabin for the Goldman, Moore family in 1997 the year before we were separated.

Wish I knew where you were.  I could always drive up and meet you to Placerville. If you would want to meet.  I have a friend in Valley Springs,CA is that anywhere near you?

What kind of an Exec are you?

I live real close to Valley Springs. Ione is the next town over. I am aprox 20 miles from the Jackson Rancheria.

I used to be an Executive Assistant for a Chiropractor but I am disabled and no longer work. I have multi level degenerative disc disease in my lower back so my disc's are deteriating and I also have alot of nerve damage in my lower back.

Losing the weight helps with some of the pain but I still have days where it is real hard to get around.
