Hi!  I live in Claremont, California and need to find a support group meeting to attend as one of my pre-operative requirements and I cannot find one.

Call your surgeon's office and ask the staff. They should have that info. 

Also, call local hospitals;  they often have open Bariatric Support group meetings.

Lynn is right, put it on your doctor's office to give you a list of their recommended support groups.  Look on ObesityHelp's site for the group listing to find one, as well as Obesity Action Coalition.  But really, if your doctor is insisting you attend a group, they should know of at least one.  Don't be afraid to speak up; it really is ok.

 There is a support group at Parkview community hospital 3865 Jackson St Riverside Ca 92503 today  Wednesday 2/8/12 at 6:30 alot of Kaiser people go there preopp.. Its for Krahn Bariatric.. Its a GREAT group and they always have good topics... Bariatric Advantage will be there tonight...
