My recent bone density indicates I have osteopenia. My family doctor is recommending this because Rx medication may not be absorbed. I haven't made my appointment yet. I have always taken my vitamins whi*****lude calcium citrate and additional vitamin D. My RNY surgery was in 2004.  |

Good luck at the Library. We had 1 meeting there in June / July 2010 transitioning from the church in New Castle to Christiana Hospital. It was brutal. Right now I work Tuesday nights, but my work schedule is changing soon, so that will be perfect. I am only a few minutes away from Christiana and I would definitely like to get back into the support group routine; it helped tremendously when I was first banded. I don't particularly want to have to drive up to Mt. Holly though to do that! I will keep an eye out for June's meeting info as I should be about 3 wks postop by then and able to attend. Support Group meets 3rd Tuesday of every month. Healthy Changes. I always post on here as a reminder. Alot of people are struggling and are not aware of the support groups and what we have to offer. So save the date May 15th. Formal speaker at 6 til 7 . Next months topic is Plastic Surgery with Dr Julie MacRae. WLS Group follows at 7 til 8:30pm. Open to RNY, Lapband and sleeve. Also looking for someone to help me in the event I cannot attend the meeting. Could also use an assistant for meeting night.
I've also had a request to start a meeting for those over 3 years out. If we could get someone to help Lead either meeting we can do a breakout from the Healthy Changes group. We'll need a Leader to keep things on track. Thanks for everyone's support and help.
Please bring new recipe's and any new protein drinks/snacks/tricks to share. It is always appreciated. Try to include nutritional fact sheet to share.
