The time noted in the topic is when Kelly officially past away early this Saturday morning at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore... Late morning and early afternoon Friday, her system went into a septic shock and she began to have organ and system shutdown.  The doctors gave her everything they could to give her a fighting chance, but her body ultimately ran out of fight. Both our families were present and had the opportunity to tell her good-bye before she left us.  She passed away peacefully, with me holding her hand.  She went flat-line seconds after I told her I loved her for the final time... Thank you all for the support you gave her, and have shown me over these last few months.  You helped make a tough time more bearable.   Her final wishes were for cremation.  I'll post memorial service details when I can...

Joe,  I am in tears as I sit here typing this to you.  I am at a loss because I honestly don't know what I can do or say to make any of this make sense to you or to make it all better.  All I can say is that I am truly sorry for your and your families' loss.  Kelly was and will ALWAYS be remembered as an amazing woman with a true heart of gold and kindness that she shared and extended to everyone.  She was a beautiful woman both inside and outside...She wrote about "God's timing" in her profile...God has called her home and this is HER time to shine.  She touched so many on this board and I know that I speak for ALL of us that have ever had any sort of contact with her when I say that she is truly missed...I pray that God will bring peace to you and your family and that you will have comfort in knowing that she fought the good fight...AND she won.  No matter what, this is her and God's time for her to be where she is now...Home.  She is free.  I know that she loved you a lot and had an unconditional, deep, and true love for you and the life that you shared together.  On her signature line, it says that she is ready for Angel Duty...Now she has been called...She is an Angel for us all.  May you find the comfort and peace you need, and with that, the joy and happiness in the memories of the life you shared with Kelly.  She is truly missed. My Thoughts and Prayers, ~Darcy

I have followed Kelly's journey daily since you began posting her fight. I have been touched deeply by your love and devotion, and by Kelly's struggle to become a healthier woman. Reading that she lost the battle is so damn sad. I am so sorry, I can't find any words that really seem to matter now.  I pray that things will be bearable for you, and that you can find peace as time goes on. I'm so sorry.

Oh NO JOe! I can't believe I am reading this. I thought she was on the upswing. I don't understand what happened. Well I read your words and my mind doesn't want to comprehend it and my heart breaks for you and your whole family. I don't know how else to comfort you. If I were by you, I would certainly give you a big hug for all the love and devotion you have shown to your dear sweet Kelly. [[[[[[[BIG HUG]]]]]]].

This is the worst news ever, Ever, EVER!

Thank you, Joe, for being such a loving and devoted husband to our sweet Kelly - she loved you so much - I remember reading the endearing things she said about you - something like you were the best husband in the whole wide world!  I am so glad you were holding her hand and bringing her comfort with your presence as she made that journey from this world.

You will remain ever present in my thoughts and close to my heart.
