Hi MajorMom,
I am new here, six months post DS, doing well except always struggling to get enough protein.  Can you tell me what is in your protein coffees?

Thanks
Wildkat

Welcome!

Protein Coffee
1 - 20 oz shaker cup with wire ball
4 to 6 oz of 1/2 & 1/2, water, or milk
1 to 1 1/2 scoops of IDS Vanilla-Cinnamon protein powder (Champion Nutrition Chocolate, Nectar Cappuccino, Nectar chocolate, etc.)
{shake} until blended
Pour into large---huge mug
Add 9 to 10 oz of hot brewed coffee (decaf or reduced caffeine) (brewed chai tea)
{stir}

Add hot liquid to cold liquid to avoid lumps. Keep the protein slurry below 160 degrees.

Hi Again,
I also meant to thank you for posting your food - I am here in Boise Idaho and next to no one at any of the support groups here have had the DS.  Love my surgeon and his staff but having people who have been and are, in the trenches makes such a difference.  Those Roux en Yers just don't have the same issues!  THANK YOU FOR SHARING1

Karen

gina, please don't stop posting. i see that 20 some people have looked at b,v& e the last several day. you deliver a very valuable service to this board.  i constantly read posts from newbies where vets tell them to look at your posts to gain ideas.  even 2 1/2 years out, i still get ideas from gail, etc.  (where is she by the way?)
i know it is a lot to keep up creating this post every single day, but i for one am sooooo thankful that you do.

Thanks,Noreen. Gail is posting on Proboards but even there I don't get many responses.  She's also on the LW board here on OH and on Facebook private groups a little bit. Let me know if you want any of those links.

Back on track today. Traveling makes it really tough to stay on-plan. I hope your dad is doing well.
