Hello there, I am scheduled for a VSG later this year, but I am interested in learning more about the DS. My surgeon does not do the surgery, any recommendations for surgeons in the south east? I live in South Carolina.
Dr. Sudan at Duke is very well regarded. There are probably others at Duke doing the DS as well.
Also Dr. Dennis Smith in Fla.
More in a pm, so look out for it, but definitely you do have options in the SE for the DS.

Dr Hazem Elariny in Northern Virginia is wonderful - one of the first to do DS laparoscopic surgery. Worth the trip up!
I second that. He did my DS 14+ years ago.
