I have ra and agree with the pp. My disease is still there but I find it easier to deal with being lighter. Less weight on my joints equals less pain for me.

-Mini meatloaves made ahead of time in muffin tins, I store them in the freezer and reheat for snacks
-Same w homemade frozen meatballs I keep in the freezer
-Brok's pizza, traditional way, but also with shredded chicken and alfredo sauce
-Julian proten bread made as French toast
-Homemade chopped Greek salad - I chop up cucumbers, black olives, cherry tomatoes, and feta, mix with lots of olive oil and balsamic.

Joanne, you and I would get along great! This is so similar to my list!

I also have sliced cheese in a variety of flavors and either egg salad or chicken salad at all times.

I would just skip the last two altogether. I bring my morning votes, shake and bottle of water to the lab to take right after my bloodwork.

Topic: RE: Bowel Questions
Blood in your stool or when you wipe? I would contact your doctor. It could be as simple as a fissure/ hemorrhoid or it could be something much worse. I don't think that I would risk it since you are so close to surgery. Good luck and keep us posted.
