Moving to MCB Kaneohe Bay

Hello all! We got orders to Kbay, and will be there in just a few short weeks!

We are very excited, and looking forward to get this move over with!

My question is this... I have Tricare Prime, and Im only 2 months out of LAP RNY, Im looking for a doc that takes patients that have already had the surgery, and that takes Tricare Prime.

Hi Ilene,

I don't have any information on doctor's and I am not familiar with Tricare Prime but I just wanted to say welcome and hopefully someone will have some information about doctors. I had surgery in California and he comes to Hawaii for follow-up visits so I am not sure how it works for those who had surgery on the island.

You can go to TAMC (Tripler) They have a bariatric program and 4 surgeons that do the surgeries. If you want to send me a private message I can give you the # for the coordinator.

Welcome!!! Congrats on your recent surgery! Best of luck finding a surgeon but I'm pretty sure Tripler would be the place to go since you're military.
