Hi All, I am new here. My surgery date is Oct.20. I finally got insurance aproval today. I was getting a little worried there. My surgeon is Dr. Criangle. He is just great. I will be having my surgery in San Francisco. I really need to start preparing myself. I have been ready mentally for months. I do need to by some vitamins and also some food for post op. I can assure you that you chosen the best in the field!! Dr. Cirangle is not only knowledgeable in his field but also is compassionate and sincerely cares about his patients. Thanks for all of the encouragement. My surgery date has changed to the 25. Only 5 more days. I am looking for good protien shakes. Anyone have suggestons. Michelle M

Hi Michelle!!! Congratulations on your surgery date!!!! We have the same surgeon, Dr. Paul Cirangle. Isn't he the best!!! You can be assured that you are in good hands. I had lap rny on January 10, 2005 at Pali Momi Hospital. One of the best tasting protein shakes out there is the Isopure Protein Powder. One shake gives you 50 grams of protein. It comes in Vanilla, Strawberry and Dutch Chocolate. I have been drinking the Dutch Chocolate ever since I got home from the hospital. Even Dr. Cirangle agrees that it is one of the best. You can purchase it at the GNC stores. It is a little pricey but well worth the price. I will be praying for you so that you may have a complication free surgery and quick recovery after. Hi Michelle, Dr. C is my surgeon is well. I had my surgery on 9/14, so I am a month out tomorrow. When people say time flies, they are right. So far so good. Thanks for all the encouragement. This will be my last post untill surgery. I can't say that I am not scared but I am sure everyone feels the same way I am feeling now. I will definately try the protein poweder you suggested. Also I am having surgery in San Francisco because if I were to have it in Honlulu I would have to wait until Dec. or Jan.
