Good evening everyone. So sorry that this is so late - it's been a busy day. I have one more day of freedom tomorrow before reality hits me in the face again. I go back to work on Wednesday. So, I have been catching up on things that have to be done before I go back to work and guess what - I have barely scratched the surface. Of course, I started with shopping for new clothes for me and not all the cleaning that has to be done. Oh well.......... Well, looking at my goals for last week, I did relatively good. I did join the gym and walked every day until the trainer set up a personal program for me. I actually got in 6 days of working out including 2 days of strength training!! I kept food logs, somewhat and did not monitor calories. I did not set times for eating, but did well without grazing MOST of the week. I also did pretty well limiting the starches. This weeks goals: 1) Get to the gym at least 5 times. It's going to be tough once I am back to school, (Wednesday), but I am hoping that things will work out. I have to be able to exercise for my health and sanity!! (I think that I am hooked!) 2) Keep up with the food logs and exercise logs. Monitor every bite that I put in my mouth. 3) Set times for eating. 4) DON'T GRAZE 5) Continue to limit carbs and starches 6) Don't go nuts when I go back to work/school on Wednesday (I teach.) That's it for me. How did you do on your goals? What are new goals for this week? Question of the day - what new size are you in? I am now in XL shirts and size 18 pants/shorts. Even put on a size 16 dress today that puckered just a little bit! I used to wear a size 32-34! Whoo hooo!! Let's hear from everyone this week, God bless, Andrea

Didn't set any goals last week. Bad Lyn. This week, increase protein with Nectar. Yum. More fluids. Less snacking. No more Multi-grain Wheat Thins in this house EVER! Exercise will be hodge podge this week because we leave Thur to go to Mayo for Hubby's yearly heart check up. He had a massive heart attack 4 1/2 yrs ago and was pretty much toast. Lots of miracles happened. Lyn

Lyn, Glad that you are setting goals again! That Nectar will be good for your protein! Try to walk when you can, even when you're gone. Remember all of those hints like taking the stairs, parking further away, etc. to get in more walking. Crackers and things like that can be my downfall. I really have to fight the urges to eat them all the time. Can only have a little bit in the house at a time and then have better control. Good luck on the goals and praise God for miracles (and hubbies)! God bless, Andrea

Melinda, I don't remember the full name of it, but it is a protein powder that you can get online. Do a search of protein drinks or e-mail me and I will give you the info. God bless, Andrea

I have done good and am going to the surgeons on Wednesday to see how to stop the weight loss since I am below my goal of 180 - weighing in at 178 now. Riding my bike almost every nite for exercise. Don't spend hardly any time in front of the TV anymore. Carol ha**** the 90 pound loss as of Sunday morn. Together we have lost 266 pounds - unreal. We figure by the time we are done we will have lost someone that weighed the same as Carol when she was released from the hospital after her surgery (329). No real goals except to keep doing what I/we have been doing so far. We wish good thoughts to everyone else on this journey. Lester & Carol P.S. To everyone that reads this - see this tool does work. Just one step at a time and the journey is soon over. Lester

Lester and Carol, So glad that you chimed in here! I can't believe a combined loss of 266 pounds! That is so awesome! Lester, hope that you can get ahold of that losing so you don't get too skinny. I just looked at your profile and can't believe the pics! Wow. Carol, do you have a profile up? Anyway, Lester, let us know what the doc says. God bless, Andrea

Hello all my friends..... Andrea, that is fantastic that you put on a 16. I bet if we sewed all our fat pants together we could make a bridge from NY to Calif. I didn't do too bad this past week. I did have one grazing day - I think PMS set in. I am not sure because I don't crave chocolate any more. I lost another 3lbs (thank you Lord for every ounce lost). Now lets see.... 47 total gone. 6lbs until I can be like Lyn and be under 200. 3lbs and I will hit the big 50 mark. So all in all I am pretty happy with that. I started back to school today. I am taking 3 total classes 2 on line and the other in the class room (Oh my gosh I just realized I can fit into a desk and not need a table and chair - whoo whoo) My goals for this next week... 1. pray/meditate - for family, school, health, goals tried and goals achieved. 2. water water water 3. vitamins 4. protein 5. exercise 6. do something nice for my little family - a nice dinner Saturday night. Please keep me in your prayers - my plate is becomming smaller and smaller and I have more on it than ever. I also took on a part time job on the weekends so that I can pay off some bills and save a little before I go full time to nursing school August 2005. So I am just like most of you many balls in the air to keep up and keep organized. I hope you all have a wonderful week... may blessings pour from above Hugs from Heaven Melinda 252/205/135

Melinda, Too funny about the bridge with our pants! LOL I like your goals and am sure that you will do fine with them. Be sure to get those vitamins and protein in especially. I'll pray for your ability to organize if you will pray for my sanity and my ability to juggle a lot of things this fall also. God bless, Andrea

Janet, Hey, you tiny thing you. How are ya? Sounds like you have been busy, but time to get back on the ball, now. Kids are back in school, so time to take care of Janet - right If I were closer, I would drag you to the gym with me!! If you want a new food log, let me know because I have created one and will try to e-mail it to you. You can log what you eat, amounts and times, location and reaction as well as calories, carbs and protein if you want. On the side are check-off boxes for supplements and fluids. At the bottom there is something about exercise, however, I need to change that a little. Anyway, let me know if you want it. Keep up the good work! God bless, Andrea

Way to go girl You are doing great! When I went in for surgery was wearing 30/32 (profile says 28's but gained after that) NOW am wearing an 18 or XL, haven't seen that since school days! I have lost 60 lbs as of today so am very happy with myself! Goals are going to be the same: Drink lots & lots of water WALK WALK WALK I'm loving the fresh tomatoes & have had corn on the cob a couple of times with no probs. Tis the season! Have the carbs under control. I got 2 free samples today from Whey, got Whey Fruity & Lemonade. The lemonade went down the drain it was horrible. I liked the fruity. Still like the sf koolaid nice change from water. Oh ya waist is down around 20 inches! WWWWWWWOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO Carolyn

Laurie, Are you still walking as much as you were? Hope that is going well for you. I know that I am hooked on exercise and just loving it now. Hope that doesn't change once school starts again, (tomorrow). I know that you will get into those size 10 pants - you do so well. Keep it up. God bless, Andrea

Sue, Hey, nice picture! It's sure nice to put a pretty face with the words. I love the goal of scrapbooking the journey. I have not started one, but my mom does Creative Memories and says that I need to do one. I have a ton of stuff to go into it, that's for sure. I even saved pics of me riding a roller coaster at Great America this summer! I am so proud of you for not having a cig - and without the grumpies! WOWOWOWOW You are better than me, I got really grumpy when I quit. Keep up the good work. God bless, Andrea
