Good morning, I have to get this out fast, so am going to keep it short. How did you do on your goals? I did lousy (thinking of an explicative that would fit there). I did not keep a food or exercise log at all. I just don't seem to have the time to sit down and write. I did get more fluids in, and tried to keep my mouth shut at work. I also have that starch craving thing going on this week and HATE it!!! Goals: 1)KEEP A DAILY FOOD AND EXERCISE LOG!! 2)KEEP MY EMOTIONS IN CHECK AT WORK AND PRAY BEFORE I SPEAK. 3)Get over 100 oz of fluids in (not counting coffee). 4)Exercise at least 5 times this week (it's going to be a busy week). 5)Love up on my hubby extra - he bought me a dozen long stem roses last week. AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW Question of the day: What's your favorite TV show? I love ER and am glad that it is back on. Have a blessed day, Andrea

Good morning!! I love NYPD Blue, and am so sad that this is the last year. I also like ER. The 'real' emergency shows on TLC are great. Right now, I just keep looking for the WLS shows on the Discovery channel.... Have a great week, everyone!

Sheryl, So glad to hear form you again. I never really got into NYPD Blue, but have watched it a time or two. I don't have cable, or I would probably watch a lot of those real emergency shows. I can understand why you are watching all of those wls shows. Now is the time to get as much info as possible. Have a great week. God bless, Andrea

Jesi, Hey girl - I don't think that you watch tv all day long - you have too many responsibilities to do that. So glad to hear that you all are feeling better. Now, you have to focus on YOU so you can keep healthy for next week. (Jesi has surgery again next week, everyone, so keep her in your prayers, please.) Sorry, Jes, had to do it................. Keep working on your gazelle and walking or roller skating for exercise and keep up on the fluids. Hugs and blessings, Andrea

P.S. Jesi - the new pic is wonderful. You look younger and younger. I know that you may not fully appreciate looking younger now, but you will someday! You're just a cutie! Hugs again, Andrea

Laurie, So sorry that I was not able to get to the Holiday Inn. The day was just too much for my kids and I. I'm concerned that you are feeling some depression again. Have you thought about talking with someone? I had an appointment with my psychologist today and left feeling better about myself. Please look into it - I care too much for you to be feeling blue so often. God's blessings and love to you, Hugs from me, Andrea

My goals don’t seem to change much. 1. Try not to let the slow moving scales get to me. Still 5 pounds away from 200! 2. It seems I do well during the week but weekends hurt me. Stay away from snacking! 3. Consume less sodium. That is probably part of my problem. 4. Get more sleep. I may start taking naps again on the days I exercise at home. Going to the fitness center really messes that part of the day for me, when it comes to napping. I had my 9 month check last week & am dong just fine. I have been given the permission to drink diet pop again (sodium!) as long as it’s over ice to help with the carbonation. I am starting to resemble a bowling pin, narrow on the top (size 12) & wide on the bottom (size 18). My calves are huge! We think it’s due to the varicose veins & the fluid pooling there. I have to wait until I have gotten closer to my goal to get them fixed though as she said it would probably have to be repeated. My favorite TV show? Well, I work nights so don’t see much but I have worn out many VCRs. I have to admit that I am a reality show junky. I tape them & watch them when I get home early in the morning (Hmmm… maybe why I’m so tired?) Right now I favor Survivor &, I hate to admit it, also Apprentice. I don’t like “The Donald” at all but love it when he & his minions yell at the contestants! I would be a puddle of tears but those kids are really tough & it’s nice to see someone with brains complete for once. Dixie 342/206/150 12/9/2003

Dixie, Don't get discouraged about the weight - I still think that a lot of it is muscle mass. Have you gone down in inches? That is the important thing. I like your goals - especially the one about taking naps. I really worry about your outdoor sleeping habits. I know what you mean about the weekend snacking. My hubby is at work or sleeping on the weekends and I have no one here to help keep me accountable. For some reason, I eat more when he is not around. If you are looking like a bowling pin, I'm sure that it is a nice slender one! On those days that you feel down on yourself because you are not under 200 yet, just pull out some before and after pics and look at what you have accomplished. Did you ever dream you would be where you are at? I certainly did not! Keep up the good work!!! Oh, and I like Apprentice too! God bless, Andrea

Since I am trying to get this weight off before surgery, I am going to post to this. The sooner I get it off, the sooner I can get to the other side. My goals are going to be: 1>WATER 2>EXCERCISE 3 X's this week (went to curves this morning, 2 more X's) 3>LOW CARB 4>Try not to drive everyone crazy saying how much I just can't wait to have this surgery. TV: Just about everything. Might be part of my problem. Love reality, Law & Order, ER, CSI and many others. Michelle

Michelle You go right ahead and tell us how much you can't wait. Those of us who are post op.... know exactly what you feel. Sheryl E is on your side of the fence as well. Good thing you are exercising and try to loose before surgery. It will make the procedure easier on you and on your surgeon (which makes it better for you) Good luck kiddo Melinda

Michelle, Hey, glad to have you posting!! Your goals are right on target for getting some weight off prior to surgery......and, your talking about the surgery is absolutely normal. I am one of those people who talked to everyone about the surgery. However, I have friends that told no one, but me and a her sister. Keep exercising - and, even though you are doing curves this week, try to get an evening walk in if it is possible and enjoy this lovely fall weather. Have a blessed week, God bless, Andrea

I have never posted my goals before, but I thought if I did, it would motivate me. 1) Walk everyday 2) Drink 100 oz. of water each day, including the weekend!! 3) Clean my living room!!!!! It seems that is where everything gets dropped. My favorite TV show? CSI and Law and Order, but I work 2 jobs so I don't get to watch either of them very much. Kristi
