Hello to all my friends! I hope everyone is doing well today! I haven't posted in a couple of days, but I have been a little busy. On Monday I went to the ER. I just couldn't take it anymore. I felt like I was constantly swallowing something and I couldn't keep anything down. Well needless to say they knocked me out and did a scope. I feel a little better, but my throat is still sore. He went ahead and opened up the opening to my pouch to 15 mm instead of 12 which is what it was. I just couldn't see going to FL feeling like this! Anyways...enough about my drama...how is everyone? I am getting excited as well as my kids...we leave for Disneyworld tomorrow evening! I couldn't sleep at all last night! Can ya imagine how tonight will be??? Love ya all!!! -Courtney

Well to my knowledge St. Vincent has been doing these surgeries longer than anyone in the state. Dr. Huse founded the Bariatric center and started all that. I felt more comfortable going to St. V's than anywhere else. And that is just because of my experiences with the metro hospitals. I'm not saying my docs are better because I'm sure they are all very good, I just have this in my head that St. V's has done more research on it and has more experience. Hope this helps. -Courtney

I sent you 2 emails back and I received a failure to send. Not sure why, I am replying to what email you have listed. Sorry that you didn't receive them. I strongly recommend Dr. Kad. He is VERY good at what he does. I have had no complications at all except for the gall bladder and he took that out on the 8th of this month. I would tell her to call his office and see what his age limit is for the surgery. I don't recall him giving us any age limits, but that was in June of last year. He isn't all that personable, but that is fine with me so long as he is good with his hands. I'm sure you will get this one! -Courtney

Well it's Thursday and going to be beautiful. High of 52 is what channel 13 said...hmmm YEAH! I am thinking of keeping my oldest out of school tomorrow and taking them both to the St. Patrick's Day parade tomorrow downtown. I think they would enjoy it. Well I have to say that I have been at a stand still for a little bit. Not sure if it's cause the gall bladder thing, not being able to eat or drink much...etc. I am so glad that's over! Ok so I need some help. In May I am coordinating the 5th grade breakfast at my school (if you didn't know, I am PTO secretary at my daughter's school) and I need donations of breakfast food! Anywhere I can get it is fine. I want to cook some of it, but mostly I need like finger stuff. Fresh fruit, donuts, muffins, bagels...etc. Does anyone know where or who would donate? Grocery stores..HINT HINT! (Angie) Or like Enstein Bagels? GFS?? Anywhere? I don't want anyone to have to spend money or help cook anything, just suggestions on where to look for donations! Hello second family!!! How is all today? Well I say that I am coping until Wednesday! I am just REALLY glad that I don't feel like I did Saturday! I am NOT one to just lay around and that is alllllll I did. It was all I could do to take a I am so excited about this weekend though. I WILL be looking and purchasing a new couch, 3 new mattresses for the kids' beds, Peyton (my daughter drama queen) a new dresser and them some clothes. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE and I mean LOVE LOVE to shop for ME, but I also LOVE making my kids look good! The Limited Too is having a sale.
