Lunch Ideas for the Beach

I am going to the beach next week and need some lunch ideas. Everybody usually has a sandwich but I can not eat bread all the time . Need ideas.
I just got back from a trip to the beach and I packed ....chicken salad one day and we just ate it out of the tupperware sans bread.. we did have some crackers on hand if you eat crackers...

second - I made roll ups... low fat or light cream cheese with some chopped up olives .. I placed one piece of sliced ham, one piece of sliced chicken (I like more than turkey) and a little of the cream cheese olive mixture and rolled it up.. I made others with mozzerla light cheese in place of the olive mixture... finger friendly...

We also took some apples and they were very refreshing - fuji apples. My chicken salad uses avecado in place of mayo so it stayed fine in the cooler.. I also took some crystal light premade and frozen keep the food cool and I drank them as they melted.



Ummmm a strawberry salad with sliced almonds or walnuts or edamame and fresh shrimp! topped off with Low Cal Rasberry dressing! It looks soooo sweet and pretty, that everyone will want what you are having.

or,
 
3 oz. deli meat rolled with cheese and on a bed of baby spinach, 1/4 cup Fiber One cereal (this serves as a form of crutons but low calorie & high fiber), shredded carrots.

and a lovely little fruit cup with everything already diced up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE SUMMER

I just got back from the beach and I ate a protein bar for lunch on the beach. Yummy...

Half a papaya with a scoop of tuna salad in the middle.  YUM!!!!  Just because it's the beach doesn't mean that you have to be limited to "finger food".  Just make sure you are prepared by bringing silverware.

If you have access to a fire pit, you can always roast a weenie!

Our last picnic had bean salad, chicken salad(the family had pitas to put it in), sliced tomatos, small cubed fresh fruit, they had chips & cookies too.  I also had iced diet snapple for me...and ice lemonades for the kids & various soda for my hubbie.  I made sure I brought plates, napkins, plasticware & a bowl of water for the puppies.  It was great!  No one felt that it was 'diet food' and we all felt it was yummy
