Hi! I had vsg done but I have a friend who is getting the lap band and she was wondering what the average weight loss is with the band ? Thanx for your help

Depending on which expert you talk to, the average is 30-50 percent of your excess weight. There will be people who lose more and people who lose less. I've lost 200 pounds with my band.

I've lost 30% so far of my excess weight....I am 7 months post op and do not and can not exercise due to physical limitations.

all the weight has been lost post-op..I LOVE MY BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

highest weight: 333 pounds (I know I gained after my last "weigh in" in the doctors office so probably it's more like 340 pounds)
current weight: 151 pounds (7/12/11)
I've been at goal (165 pounds) for 6 months now and now on maintence. I tend to go up and down depending on time of the month and such!
