Oh, honey, you need to take a deep breath and relax. You didn't get obese overnight, and you won't be coming back from obesity overnight, either. You've still healing, your body is still adjusting to a whole bunch of changes. Cut yourself some slack.
Over 8 years with my band and still knowing I made the right choice!

A lot of people come out of surgery weighing more than when they went in. They pump you full of CO2 gas, your tissues swell, your body has been through trauma and isn't in weight loss mode so soon after major surgery.

Heal up and then focus on weight loss.

Take care,
Nicci

I am about 6 weeks post op. I gained 10 or more pounds at the time of surgery and it was probaly a few days before it started to come off at all and day 5 or 6 when a couple pounds per day were coming off. Walking helped me feel more comfortable from the gas, bloating, etc.

I am on day 8 post op. I gained 5 lbs during surgery. I am walking a little several times a day now and today the 5 plus 2 more came off. Just like magic. I felt the same way at day 6. Be patient, it happens!

other than walking did you do anything to help shed the pounds? I tried walking my kids to school today and when I got home I was exhausted. I slept for 2 hours. So I don't think my body is ready for walking. What can I do?

You need to be focusing on healing. Letting your body adjust to the band, letting it adhere to the tissues inside. The process will work, just relax and heal for the time being.

It is hard to be patient sometimes, but just remember, you didn't get here overnight. IT will come off. Heal, drink your liquids, heal, walk, heal, rest. Hugs,

Terri

Your vision is to close.  Relax and start living your life.  Weight is like a "boyfriend"  if you chase it, it runs the other way.  Focus on living a beautiful life and the weight will take care of itself.   Microvision will make you crazy and drive you you up a tree.  Don't let the scales rule your life.  Turn you back on it and it will be your friend.
