Hey Everyone,

Monday officially started the challenge, we had some people decide to join in after the last post so I wanted to post the updated list. We have a total of 33 people in the challenge, I'm glad to see so many decided to join in! If anyone else would like to join, just let me know. I'm still missing a couple peoples of weights so hopefully I will get those before the first weigh in. I will be posting the Weigh in posts late Sunday and will post the results on Wednesday. You can either reply to the post, or message me directly whichever works best for you.

So everyone how is your first week going so far? Has anyone decided to stick to a specific plan for the challenge? I have been trying to stick with this plan for a few weeks now but I have the habit of sticking with something for a few weeks then falling off track, so I'm hoping the challenge will keep me motivated and stay on track.

My plan is to:

Eat low carb-no more than 20 net carbs per day
Exercise at least 3-4 times a week-exercising is going to be the biggest challenge for me

Good Luck to everyone, I hope you guys are having a great 1st week! Let me know how you are doing so far.

Hi There,
I did sign up to loose 12 lbs but do not see my name on the list.  Can you please add me.

Thanks for doing this.
Remember, if you want to be a 155 pound person, you have to EAT like one.

I apologize, apparently there were a few others that signed up the same day you did that didn't save on my spreadsheet correctly, so I'm glad you noticed. Thank you.

Me, too. I get all pumped up and then seem to falter down the road. LOL
I plan on eating small amounts, protein, veggie or fruit, good carbs In that order.
Exercise every day, if not double up on the days I skip (I HATE to exercise)
Thanks for helping us keep on track!!!

Sounds like a good plan Mari! I hope to work my way up to working out everyday but I think its good to take at least a couple days off a week.

For me, If I take off a couple of days off, I will more than likely stop.  So in my mind I have to commit, now do I do it every day, no. LOL

I need to refocus on lowering carbs and avoiding all sweetners.  Since I was sick, things have gotten all messed up.  This challenge should set me right!  :)

Oh wow, sorry to hear. The flu is the worse. Hopefully the gatorade and meds help you get better quick.

You are on the right track! Lowering my carbs has helped me a lot so far. Were you band sick or actually sick? Hopefully you weren't band sick! I've been sick with a cold since Monday so I know how you feel.

Hope you feel better soon!

I am working at it and giving it my all. I am doing 2 shakes and a healthy choice and exercising everyday. I hope I start seeing some pounds come off. I am stuck at 193.

Hopefully this helps you break through your stall. Kudos to you for sticking to such a strict eating plan. I know I couldn't stick to that for very long.

So far so good:)

I've been exercising everyday and and during the day I'm great with eating.  I have to watch out for night time snacking, so I don't derail all the good I'm doing during the week.

Night time snacking is my enemy, I always start craving sweets late at night which is what caused me to blow up in the first place..sounds like you are doing great so far! Keep it up!

Hi Ashley -

My goal weight is 155 and I bounce between that and 158 most days.
I want to be at 150 - 153 by March 8th (tummy tuck day).

This past week has been a challenge because I flew out of town on Sunday and didnt' get home until Wednesday night -- interrupting my normal exercise schedule.

I got 60 minutes of activity yesterday and am leaving the house now for an hour or more of brisk walking with my husband and dog ---- and then some hiking this weekend.

Today, I was at 157 -- so, down 1 pound.
Will report to you again on Monday when you ask for our weekly updates.

thanks for tracking for us!
Kath

We are headed into our first weekend of the challenge. If you are going out to dinner make good choices. Today I am celebrating my daughters 13 birthday. Just the two of us. We are going to get pampered at the salon and then out to lunch. I had a fill Wed. and am doing a mini version of the post-op diet. So I have been on liquids since Wed. Today I will have mushy foods. I will see what I can find when we are out but at least I am finally dropping a few pounds again. I am happy to report SO far this fill has gone well but I haven't eaten yet either. So still praying that as I start to eat all stays okay.

Have a great week and take the time to enjoy your loved ones.
