I was on a business trip in D.C. with my boss and her boss. I was only about 4 months out from surgery. We decided to take one of the monument tours one evening. We had dinner before departing, and I chose some grilled chicken. I got a piece stuck. I went to the restroom and was able to PB a lot of slime, but no food would come out. I went back to my party and within minutes my mouth was filling up with slime again.
I ended up making 3 trips to the bathroom with no luck. I was PBing slime only. It was time to get on the tour bus and I was panicked. I was seated next to my boss. I had my leftovers in hand and an almost full water bottle. It started....the slime building up. I was trapped on the bus and had no way to get rid of the slime. "Ladies and gentleman, if you look on the right you can see ...." I DON"T CARE WHAT'S THERE!! I KNOW IT'S A ONCE IN A LIFETIME TRIP, I KNOW I WILL PROBABLY NEVER SEE THE WHITE HOUSE AGAIN, BUT I NEED SOMEWHERE TO SPIT!!!
I suffered until I couldn't hold it in any longer. I opened my water bottle and tried to discreetly wretch slime in to my bottle. If you have ever PB'd, you know that discreet doesn't come to mind. I was so embarassed. We finally got to FDR's monument and everyone was allowed off of the bus to walk around and take in the sights. I walked behind a tree and was FINALLY able to dislodge that piece of chicken. What a fricken relief!!! OMG. That was such a horrible night. I feel bad that it was at a National Monument, but what could I do?
