Blue Cross says they will cover my psych eval but only if I have a presciption.  Has anyone else needed one or asked and been refused? 

I called Andrea but she hasn't called me back....... I am wondering if I should bother - it's worth $150......my evaluation was about 3 weeks ago

i didnt need script fr dr.i just sent in reciept.but if you do need one go to your local dr and ask for one.hope this helps

I sent the receipt in with the claim form and they sent me the request for a script...... why can't anything be easy...... :(    I'll try Andrea again.........

I tried to submit my fee for the dietician and it was returned........???

I seen in a post a long time ago that Laura isn't registered with whatever organization a dietician/nutritionalist  needs to registered with to be able to claim Blue Cross so that her fee isn't claimable but from my understanding the psych stuff is.  If I can recoupe some moola from the psych eval, I can put it toward paying Laura. .... I feel like I'm borrowing from Peter to pay Paul LOL

I went to my GP and he gave me a prescription requesting counseling and he told me
this would cover me if I require psych help after surgery.  I got 80% of mine back. 
I am not to happy when I have to go to Peter or Paul either.  Robynjoy 

I did NOT need a prescription for the nut, they covered that, but I did need a prescription for Laura. I just had my doctor backdate the note and she did. All she said on it was " BC requires Nutritional counseling for Bariatric surgery beginning. ( date you saw Laura here) and they paid me back 80%. Just ask your doctor and resubmit like I did. I did't even have to see her, I called and she had it ready for me to pick up. Barb C

Laura is the NUT (nutritionalist) and Teresa or Tevya are the Psych crew - sorry for the confusion and in the end Andrea came through and got me a script for both so I should be covered by Blue Cross for both.

 I needed an Rx and just called Andrea, and then just picked it up from the office.  I also needed it for the dietitan so I just made a copy and sent it off-kj

Okay! Andrea called my back at the end of the day and said she had an Rx made up for both the psych and NUT and put it in the mail and to wait until my NUT appt in July and then claim for both at once - so good job Andrea!

I would LOVE that but I didn't want to suggest it as we seemed to have worked around me twice already (I feel like a rock star - LOL)   Also I am not in until July 25th, which is a Wednesday and I am thinking the girls are already chomping at the bit to M & G.  But then again there is nothing stopping you guys from meeting next week somewhere and then everyone will be needing a M & G fix again by the end of July......I would definitely love to rough plan that.

Didn't you guys all meet at someone's pool last summer?  maybe someone would like to host in their yard, that way it would be easy to mix, mingle, swap clothes and maybe show off some protein recipes........  I would love to have you all to my house, we live on an acerage and have a pool, but I think attendance would be small, probably just me.... haha!
