    Bariatric Surgery Books

    Hi All,

I have noticed several books about bariatric surgery at the book stores on-line and was wondering if anyone read them and/or found them helpful? The Idiot's guide?... For Dummies?... (Not implying anything...)

I checked out the Melting Mamas site today and found it interesting. Any other useful web sites you know of?

    Thanks

I have Exodus from Obesity and really found it informative.  I would be willing to loan it out.  I also bought a cookbook that is pretty good, and Before and After which was good but since reading it and hearing a bit more about the author I am not believing everything I read in her book.  I just ordered the Dummies cooking book so I don't know what it's like yet.

Weight Loss Surgery for Dummies - good and it addresses things like when other people say "you took the easy way out" and what to tell people when you really don't want them to know about the surgery.

The Weight Loss Surgery Workbook: Deciding on Bariatric Surgery, Preparing for the Procedure, and Changing Habits for Post-Surgery Success. I bought them at Chapters on Empress.  I didn't do the workbook excercises but it makes you think about why you overeat and other things. It actually helped me more than I thought it would.
