What have your experiences with the UM ABS Program been like? Good? Bad? Mixed? Please share.

I do a lot of stuff with U of M and I probably would have had my RNY done there as well, however at that time my insurance would only cover for me to go to Hurley in Flint..... Sorry I couldn't help you, but the services and doctors I have dealt with there have been amazing....

Dr. Birkmeyer did my surgery at U of M.  I think they have a great program.  They have a lot of doctors involved - endocrines that do follow-ups and a great nutritionist along with the Hunger Within Program.  They have three support group meetings every month and have different U of M docs come and lots of other speakers and activities.  Feel free to e-mail me if you have specific questions.  My e-mail is jeancondron@gmail.com.

I had my surgery at U of M and was very happy with everyone and how it all went, I had some great nurses and felt very well taken care of.
