I haven't been here in such a long time; lots going on. Today I had my appointment in fluroscopy. Since I've had a revision, Dr. Beausoleil felt it was a good id I will be startea to check and make sure everything is going as it should. He confirmed that I had no restriction, and gave me a 1.5 cc fill, bringing me to 8cc's. I never made it past 6.5 with my first band.

I haven't been able to go to the gym due to a recurring hip problem. So with no exercise and no restriction, I only put on 1 lb in eight weeks. Although the goal is not to gain, I'm pretty happy, all things considered.  I will be back in the gym tomorrow and keeping my fingers crossed. I still want to run a 10K. Right now I just want to be able to run again.

My reflux is back, so another prescription for Tecta; that part scks. :( This journey is full of ups and downs and often you get thrown alot of curve balls. The important thing is to stay the course. I believe 2012 is the year that I get back to running and get to my goal weight.

    Here's to a great 2012.

    Hey Jet!!!
Sure is great to see you, even if it is not in person. MG I am so sorry that your reflux is back But if the Tacta works, it is no biggy.
I wish  I had your optimism. I have been doing everything but getting as much exercise as I normally do & I am barely able to stay the same weight. On New Years I resolved to have zero sugar, drink all my water, take my vitamin, exercise 30 minutes per day, and limit snakes to 100 calories.   I have been able to stick to all of them except the exercise & had only 1 slip on the sugar....still no weight loss.  I usually know exactly where I am going wrong, but not this time. I pigged out over Christmas & only gained a couple of pounds which quickly disappeared within days of knocking off the sugar. Nothing since. I know I should exercise more and I  do get out hiking for several hours on the weekends and usually once or twice during the week I get out for 30 minutes or so. I have lots of restriction (12cc in my band).
I am just venting my frustration.  Maybe when there is more light in the evening to exercise, the weight will come off.

No one ever said this would be easy Miss Kitty; you and I both know this is true as do many others I am sure.

I am coming to Freddy in February; we should arrange to meet. I will be at the BMO bubble with Yakira on Sat. & Sun Feb 18 & 19. I will be in touch.

Of course you are right. Sugar/food addiction is like any other addiction- one day at a time. I hope we can get together in February.
