I have found that today was harder than the others. I know that I didn't drink enough water today and am a bit dehydrated so I don't believe that it is really hunger.  Personally I find the Boost too sweet and I am a sweet lover. I have added flavorings to the boost such as raspberry with chocolate and caramel with vanilla and lots of ice.

My surgery date is May 30th.

Wow, you lost a lot of weight so far!! keep up the good work.

I guess the loss would really depend on how much  weight one would have to loose.

How are you finding the boost so far, have you been tempted to eat any solid food??

So what is your date again?

Will you be taking pics to show us some before and after.. those are really inspiring.

Topic: RE: Second day on Boost

    Congrats on your date!

I'm from Bathurst and the closest hotel would be the Atlantic Host, there is a pool, restaurant for anyone who is traveling with you.

    Good luck, keep us posted!

At the hospital there is a hostel called the Pavilion. You have to go to the accounting dept. in the lobby of the hospital to find out if they have a room. The rooms have a set of twin beds. The rooms are very clean and hotel quality. The first night is $10 and every subsequent night is $25. It is a first come first serve basis. There is not any internet or tv in the room. There is a lounge room with a tv and an equipped kitchen (microwave, fridge, dishes).

Congratulations on your surgery date. Mine is coming up next week.

I may not be on the internet before your surgery so if not best wishes for a speedy recovery :)

    Topic: RE: stall

I think when I went to the information session they said that the weight loss slows down between 12-18 months. I am not sure how tall you are but that is around the number that Dr. Savoie gave me.

On some of the other boards people suggest upping your protein intake but as I am just new to this and haven't had surgery yet I only pass on what I have read.

You have done so amazing and really are an inspiration.

well. i have stalled for bout the last 2 months, give or take a pound or two

i wonder if there i a point that your body just says..."thats enough"

i have lost over 222 pds from my highest and was losing pretty consistently til this time period.  i realize that i am at a weight when some people are just getting their surgery (230) but that is almost half of what i was. my quantity of food intake hasnt changed. still exercising bout the same but am just sitting still.

im wondering if there is a point that your body just sits up and says enough is enough. my goal is 199 s im not that far off and i am actually not unhappy with my current weight. just kinda wanted to see a "1" in front again, since i hadnt seen it since i was about seven.

Just called Dr B's receptionist and she said if there is a specific reason or the person's dr called directly and asked to get it done, they will do them sooner.  Also, if there was a cancellation and the person in the list calls when she is looking for someone, they get to be put in sooner.  That being said, I called once a month or every six weeks, to see where I was on the list and when I asked about a cancellation list, she said that it is rare that anyone cancels.  I suppose after waiting five years, you don't want to give up your spot and by then you know for sure this is what you want.  I have to wait for Monique to come back and book another info session.  They said probably july or august.  It seems that once you are on the road, you stall.  You have your first appt and get more excited that your time is coming, but then you have to wait so long....
