    Topic: RE: 6th Fill yesterday
I wish I had kept track of how many cc's I got each time. #6 was 1cc, #5 - 1/2cc, #4 - 1/2cc.  A little late , but I think I will start to keep track.  Not that it will change anything - just something else to keep track of for interest's sake.

I've hit a new low - and this is a good thing!  On my scales at home I hit 194 this am and this is the first time that number has shown itself since I started this trip!  I have been stalled for the last 2 1/2 months at either just under or over 200 (195-201) so now it feels like I might actually have broken the plateau and be on my way to losing once again.  I REEEEALY want this to work - but I know I have to do my part which is basically watch what I eat, get my fills and follow the rules.
    Topic: RE: 6th Fill yesterday
That sounds good to me Charline :-)  Sorry to hear you've had a stuck episode already.  I certainly do feel like i have restriction but I am taking it very slow.  I did have 1/2 slice of toast for breakfast - ate it with caution - chew, chew, chew and small bites and I felt the restriction - but didn't get stuck.  I am eating things like chicken stew (avoiding the chicken) and applesauce.  I really don't want to go for an unfill.  So, I figure if I'm very careful until I lose a few more pounds it will likely loosen up a bit and I will be fine for a while.  Surely at 7.5cc's restriction will last for a while.  Hope you have a really good week!
    Topic: RE: 6th Fill yesterday
I want to say thanks to my co-pilot, Charline.  Having you along made the trip fly by and it was a great comfort to travel around Moncton with some one who knows the "lay of the land".

I had my 6th fill yesterday and my band now has 7.5cc's.  It has been a very slow process - or so it seems.  Every time I get a fill I hope that this will be the one that gets me to the elusive sweet spot LOL.  I have not felt restriction for any length of time after fills.  I do understand that as you lose weight the band gets looser.   My weight loss has slowed down drastically over the last 2-3 months - down 1 pound since my last visit.  I know, better than a gain :-)   So, time to step up to the plate (or away from the plate as the case may be).  Yesterday's fill was only 4 weeks after my 5th fill.  I know I need to make better food choices and plan what I am going to eat - not wait until mealtime and see what I can find.  Cause I can always find something quick and easy and that usually means a poor choice.

Ann - you were such a help to me when I started this journey.  Go on that trip and have a great time!  Then come home to begin the second half of YOUR journey!  Reading your post I wonder if you have lost the majority of your weight on your own with little help from the band?  If this is the case just imagine what you could do with restriction.  Life does get stressful by times and that makes it hard to focus on you.  But... YOU are important, YOU are successful, YOU are a fighter.  These things are true or you wouldn't have been able to do what you have done.  Love you a bunch and sending LOTS of ((((hugs))))
Topic: RE: stressed hoping for fill tomorrow but now i am not sure
Are you going to Moncton for your fill?  My  appointment is for 2:15 - regular fill.  And I do mean regular.  This will be number 6 for me.  Is there anyone else from the OH board planning to be there tomorrow?  Love a good reunion LOL!
    Topic: RE: Check PM's
Hey Charline, if you are anything like me I don't always notice when I have a PM.  I sent ya one - please check :-)
Topic: RE: I'm taking MY LIFE back!!!
Angela, you must have an amazing sense of relief!  If would be scared about the debt - I hate debt.  But you are doing the right thing.  It is so hard to believe that our government won't help you out in this.  Tell your family to make sure those shakes are in a non breakable/non spillable container - you will want every drop!!!  LOL  Keep your sense of humour - you know - fat and jolly - that's us!!  LOL!

Take care and God bless you - I'll keep you in my prayers.
    Topic: RE: Freddy support group.
IF I can fit it in, I would love to go also.

Starr, great to see you on the forum!!!  How are things going?  Please drop me a line.  For some reason you have been on my mind alot these past few days - nice to see you post :-)
    Topic: RE: Calling Moncton
Fantastic!  I could pick you up on the way through - looking forward to the trip now.  I usually dread it :-)
    Topic: RE: Calling Moncton
Thanks Angela.  I did finally get through - strange that they still have there Christmas vacation message playing.  Oh well, I did get through and I have an appointment for Jan. 21 - here's hoping the weather cooperates.  How are things going for you?  Are you making and headway?
    Topic: RE: Calling Moncton
Has anyone been in contact with Nathalie in Moncton either yesterday or today?  I tried to call and I get the Christmas holiday message which says they would be taking calls starting yesterday???
Topic: RE: Not only the turkey got stuffed!
BTW Charline - congrats on the new grandbaby!!!  You must be thrilled.  My grand daughters left today and I miss them already - it was a great visit and I won't likely see them again until summer.

Now about this weight gain... I really want to get off on the right foot for the new year.  I'm not usually one for New Year's resolutions so call it what you will - I will do better in 2010!!! at least better than I have the last 2 months. Starting from where we are right now is better than our starting weight before surgery.  Do you have an appointment for a fill yet - maybe we can plan it for the same day.  I will call Monday morning - not sure if they will be in or not, but I'll try.
Topic: RE: Not only the turkey got stuffed!
I had a fill on Dec 14 and it may have made  a slight difference but not enough to slow down my eating.  Still don't feel full after eating my 1 cup of food but I have had a few times when I wasn't actually stuck - but close to it.  I am going to call ASAP for my next fill.  I have had company for the last two weeks and while I didn't over eat as far as quantity goes, I certainly did a LOT of continuous picking and made very poor choices!!!  I have have gained at least 3 pounds in the last 2 weeks.  I am not ready to give up on this journey and I WILL get back on the wagon.  I was thinking this am that I totally gave up carbonated beverages last year and I would like to choose one thing to completely give up in 2010.  Ice cream would be the logical choice, but may be too much of a challenge. So, I will choose one food to exclude from my diet!
Topic: RE: Low sugar treats for the holiday season
Thanks - I will definitely try these over the holiday.  Great to have the nutritional info included :-)  My daughter and her family are coming home for the holidays and will arrive on the 18th.  Lots of time for Grammy and the girls to make some special treats!
Topic: RE: Pain in my left shoulder
I have been thinking that the pain is due to eating too fast/too much and is worse right after a fill and then I found this

Topic: RE: Had my Fill Yesterday
I went to Moncton yesterday and had a fill.  I now have 6 cc's in my band.  So far the liquids are going down with no hesitation.  Hope I'm wrong but I have a feeling that my 1/2 cc fill isn't going to make the difference I need. Time will tell I guess.  I really wouldn't want to need an unfill over the holidays.  My weight was down 1.3 pounds yesterday.  Better than a gain but a little disappointing   for nine weeks.  I really want to get on with this weight loss journey.  I have about 4 1/2 months until I reach 1 year post op and i have about 45 pounds to go.  I know, patience and stick with the plan :-)
    Topic: RE: band day tommorrow

    Topic: RE: back too.....
So glad that you got in to see about this.  Hopefully everything will be fine in 2 weeks and you will be back on the road to healthy losing again!
Topic: RE: Christmas parties with no clothes to wear
Over the years there have been many parties with "nothing to wear"  albeit for different reasons.  Having nothing to wear because everything is too BIG is wonderful.  I so agree - what a gift!!!
Topic: RE: Anyone seeing Dr B this Thurday?
Wish I was going on Monday.  I am going on Monday Dec. 14 - anyone else going on that day?  My appointment is for 2:45.
