The worse smelling gas and BM is usually associated with the duodenal switch surgery.

D usually stands for "Dear", "Darling",and you're right about Husband. As for BM's --- name someone who's BM's or gas smells like roses?? I wouldn't say they are worse, but different. I know mine is affected by the vitamins I'm taking. I can also report that I rarely have gas from veggies anymore, but instead from white flours and sugars. Even with the DS, which is "mythed" to have very stinky gas, stools, and some have even mentioned BO, they're totally false. I have less gas now than I did pre-op, and yeah, it stinks --- but it's not peeling any wallpaper off of the walls.

I am so glad it was not a hernia. Weren't there several others who said they had the same thing? It must have something to do with the surgery. You are doing great! Darlene

Barb, You are so lucky that you don't need any work done. I have puddles of skin in my abdomen area. I now wear a 10-12 jeans but I would probably wear a 7-8 without my skin. I'm happy with the rest of my body, everything seems to be tightening up with exercise. I make it a point to work on my arms, abs and back muscles daily. I showed my sister my tummy the other day and she was shocked that I was actually that small , if I didn't have the skin. 257/162/150 12 lbs until I meet my first goal my second goal is 135

Hi Barb, I am glad you don't have a hernia. I also went to my pcp and I was told I do have a large hernia again. This will be my third time to get it fixed! I am planning on waiting though until i lose more weight and try for a tummy tuck at the same time. I was also put on Wellbutrin 300mg for my depression. I did ask for one that does not cause weight gain like you said. I have heard of cymbalta from the commercials on TV. They say it helps the depression as well as physical pain. I hope it works for you. I am hoping mine kicks in soon. I hate feeling this way. Take care, Janet

Glad to know this knot above my belly button may be nothing. I just had my sugery and was wondering about it, will ask at my next appt. Barb, take care of yourself and I hope you are talking to someone as the pills alone will not work they are only a tool to let you use some coping mechanisms. I just got a book the other day for my husband call "How you feel is up to you, the power of emotional choice" by McKay and Dinkmeyer. It has some good information in it. Take Care, Mel
