Hi all!! Need to talk to friends who are in the same situation. All day (and I do mean all day...it was a 24 hour shift) on Saturday I heard comments....Are you haveing problems with your surgery? Are you losing too much weight? Are you sick from your surgery? Are you eating too little? ALRIGHT!!!!!!!!! STOP ALREADY!!!!! I AM SICK OF THES COMMENTS!!!!!!!! I worked 72+ hours last week. I hadnt slept much or even well when I did. I AM FINE!!! I AM BETTER THAN FINE...I AM GREAT!!! I JUST NEEDED SLEEP. So do these people not understand that I get tired, sick, insomnia etc just like everyone else???? My surgery is something I had done....it is not my entire life. I am at a normal weight for my height. I am tired of people saying I am too thin. I am finally at the place all the doctors and charts say I should be...for the very FIRST time in my life. I weigh less than I did in the 5th grade. Just needed to ventilate...some of you have probably been there. My weight is stable. I am eating about anything...just small portions. I went for an abdominoplasty consult. 5,500 was the quote. I may have it done...just need to decide if can take time off from work. All is well here. Headed for Lake Tahoe the 15th. Husband is having surgery on his shoulder this week and cant do his job for a while. We are taking advantage of his time off by going away. Weight today 137 Susan 10 1/2 months post-op 233/137 5-4 1/2

Hey Susan~ I think you look GORGEOUS! And I am so jealous of those long, skinny legs~~even when I get skinny, I'll still have short, choppy legs! Tee hee hee! Seriously, I have thought about what will happen when I reach my goal, and I believe people will be saying the same thing to me because nobody has ever known me as a normal size adult--so I'm sure I will look different. But it's like Mary Martha said at one of our support meetings....People don't walk up to someone and say, "Oh, I heard about the affair you are having" or "Let's talk about your infertility". But yet, they think it's acceptable to come up to you and make comments like you are talking about. Take it in stride.....you know and we know that you are beautiful inside and out! Tamara

Susan you are such a beautiful woman inside and out. But I am jealous of the vacation though...Hubby and I never get time away alone except when I am an overnighter at the hospital...sorry to say. The nosey people some are just plain rude then some really care about how we take care of ourself. But I am like you some really do go overboard and ruin your day forsure. Who are you considering doing your Plastic Surgery? I saw one and he didn't want to file insurance so I am seeing Dr. Fewell this week. Please pray that all goes well. Enjoy your precious time with hubby, and don't think about anything else but RELAXATION!!! Hugs, Sandy

Next week will be my first day back to work since I've had my surgery two short weeks ago. The troll's in my co will be out in full force. You know what, I will tell who I want to know and tell off whom I don't want to know. The people I work with act like surgery is a short cut. It was my short cut from a premature health conditions from hypertension, not to be glamours and skinny. Women tend to be so, so catty. The trolls at my work always preach religion and then spew their hate. There are two non christians who are the worse. I don't tend to bring up religion and i apologize if I offend anyone, but I was taught in catholic religion that you practice what you preach. However, here at my corporate job it isn't that way. I've already decided no more food days, no more ordering out. I will not participate. Ofcourse, I'm there to work. I do plan on looking for a new job within the company soon. Now, that i'm post op. I wish I could say it get's better, but I haven't seen it yet. You do look awesome in your pictures. Jen

Wecome aboard Double D! Glad to have you in the Locker Room! If you've been lurking around here for a bit you'll notice that we're pretty much just a group of guys all swapping lies. Ok, there can be a lot of good useless information passed around too. The best part is...none of the "drama" from the "outside world" makes it's way into our inner sanctum very often. If you have questions as you progress, don't fear posting it out there, there is almost guaranteed to be an answer to almost anything you could dream up!

I found another helpful site http://www.thinnertimesforum.com but after following it for 2 days it appears to be about 99% women. Nothing against women since I'm married to one but I have to beleive that this surgery affects men diffferently than women. So I'm looking forward to lots of "manly" information............

Hey DD Welcome. The odor in here gets pretty putrid sometimes but we like it!!! There's a lot of camraderie here. I actually feel closer to some of my cyber buddies here than I do to the human ones here in my office. It's a great mix of guys and remember this board is only as good as the people who post here. So keep the comments and questions coming. Larry

D~ Welcome aboard. You are sure to find the answers to your questions on this board. The guys out here are great and also have some input to give you. I would have to agree with you on the 99% women thing, most of the other boards and sites out there are related mostly to women. Thank God for this forum. Kendall

Welcome aboard, D. I'm still pre-op, but not for much longer. My surgery is scheduled for July 10th. Things can get pretty smelly in here, like someone said, but the trick is, just to expel your own gas to cover up the odor. Though I think we all have a hard time with some of the odors coming off of Buckeye at times. But seriously, you're right at the start of things - this surgery is a great tool that will help you live a long and healthy life.
