On a daily basis we get calls from members in desperate need of surgeons that will accept Medicaid and or Medicare for Bariatric surgery.  It breaks our hearts when we have to say "we don't know of any surgeons in your state we can refer you to". 

Can you please help us? If you know of any surgeons in your state that accepts Medicaid and or Medicare, will you list their:

I am interested to know if Dr. Bruderer of Bismarck, ND accepts Medicare.

 I had Lap RNY November 19, 2008 at Med Center One in Bismarck by Dr. Bruderer.  He does Medicare patients.  I am 66 yrs. old

I just received approval from Medicaid for Dr. Bruderer for a November 25th surgery date!!

Howell retired?? I must of missed that. He was just at our support group a couple weeks ago. He is a snow bird in winter but that doesn't mean he retired, are you 100% sure on this?

That's what they said was in the works in the info session I went to in early October, I just assumed it had happened already  I know that's why they said Fabian was coming on board.

Interesting facts then. I will have to keep an eye open on this and see how it passes. I was under the understanding they were expanding by adding more doctors to the team LOL and that Dr F was doing the lap bands only

I just had a check up with Howell and he scheduled another one for 6 months. I think he is still just very part time.
