    Hi I never posted on a forum before and I am new to all this.I have an appointment with Dr Pace for April 11 I have never seen him before,will it take years and years for me to have my weightloss surgery does anyone know? I have wanted it for years after many unsucessful attempts at weightloss and only now that I am finding out MCP will cover it I am nervous and excited.With a BMI over 40 am I even a candidate??Any information will help.And thankyou in advance

    hi Dr.pace is a very nice doctor you will hve no problem when you see him..he will tell you all about the procedure and maybe have you sign a concent form ...then you will see Rayleen and Rhoda they will explain more to you....i saw him for the first time 11 years ago ,my surgery is for the 27 of feb..this year...and i am in the higher bmi as of now ..its 54.2 was 57.6

    HI Tribblesmom, I was refered on August 28th, 2012 to Dr. Pace. I have my first meeting with Dr. Pace today, January 24th. My BMI is 49 and Dr. Pace told me I'm am a good candidate for this surgery. He didn't know when I would get my surgery but he did say it will be in 2012. So I'm hold on to that!.. we are also on a face book group.. If your on facebook. I can help you join if you would like to..

     Hi nice people,just found & signed up to this site right away.I'm a 63yr old women & is over weight & 320lbs right now.I've had a really bad back for about 15yrs now,my Dr.'s tell me it's from sewing so many yrs.I've been a seamstress for nearly 40yrs but had to pretty give it up this past yr or so & i really miss it.
    I was wondering if this Dr.Pace is in Newfoundland or any other Dr. that does weight lost sergery.I so much want to lose this weight but due to my back problems & also born with Herb's Palsey of the left arm i'm unable to do any walking only can walk or stand for about 5 mins @ a time 10mins max.It's been hell for me,i want so badly to live again & do my housework without having to sit down every few mins.It would mean the world to me to be able to go shopping without dragging a stool seat so i can sit when my back hurts to much.Also DR.'s tell me if i can get the weight of that it would make it so much easier for me to get back surgery done...I want to live normal again so badly,i'm very young @ heart,funny great sense of humor & love to talk to people....
    PLEASE PLEASE if anyone can help me in anyway i would be soooooooooo grateful.
