I have been going back and forth in deciding which revision to have a RNY or DS.

Plan A, I was told that BCBS Federal would deny me for the DS from Dr. Stewart's  office, from Denton,Texas.  The reason was I had to have a BMI of 35 for 24 months with 2 co morbidity's.  When I had my VSG in 2009 I did lose 30 lbs so my BMI was less than 35.
I guess I will not be getting revised to the DS.

Plan B, Dr. Lana Nelson from Moore, Oklahoma agreed to revise me to RNY so I'm waiting for approval on that right now.  I have gained weight up to 185.  I have Type II diabetes, high blood pressure and my medications have doubled in dose, since I had the VSG.  Don't know what is going to happen, just doing the waiting game.

Any revisions from VSGers to RNY?  Tell me about your results please.

I already posted this on the Revision forum, but no I have not received any replies.

Thanks.

I know how you feel.  Thought I was the only one in OK that did not make it to goal with the sleeve.

Best wishes to you.

Thanks for reading and replying.

I don't understand, did you go to wwise in Edmond to have the sleeve?  If so have you been back to Dr. B to see what can be done so that you will continue to lose weight without having to have the RNY.

I don't want to go back to Dr. B.  He insulted me by saying to me that I was next to his worst patient.

Hi Nancee,

Thanks for sharing.  I guess I made the wrong choice with the VSG.  I need more than just restriction.

Yes, I will keep you posted.
