    Hi there,

I just received my first shipment of dried edamame beans.  They taste wonderful!!

They're crunchy and lightly salted and can be stored well for a few months.

The taste is hard to describe - some say they taste like peanuts or pistachios.  They're definitely nutty to me.  I love pretty much all nuts, so these are the best ones I've found so far!

1/4 cup of the dried edamame provides you with 14 grams of protein, 4 grams of fat and somewhere around 130-140 calories.

I bought them from a guy on the regular RNY board - he had his RNY surgery some time ago and both he and his wife love them.  He sells dried edamame, dried peas and some liquid vitamins as well.  (The dried peas are good as well.  Even more crunchy than the edamame.  But for the same 1/4 cup you only get 6 grams of protein instead of the 14 grams you get with the edamame.)

    I highly recommend them!

    Cheers,
    Marie

Hi Marie and thanks for posting this! You can also get this in most bulk stores and many supermarkets. I also like them in their 'pod' which you can get in the freezer section of the supermarket. I boil them in pod in salted water and 'pop' them out, into my mouth. I like it almost as much as i like popcorn, it's fun to eat, keeps my hands busy and is YUMMIE!!! Soy is the ONLY plant that is a total protein so you're doing your body good :)

    LOVING my DS!!!!!
