Now that I have my orientation date I have a million questions flying through my head.

As embarrasing as this is I have to ask, as I have gotten heavier I have gotten facial hair that I pluck regularily...It is sooo embarrasing! Has anyone else experienced this, and if so after you lost weight did it stop/go away?

I have that too, not a whole lot, but enough that it bothers me.  Unfortunately so far it still has not gone.  I understand that it is genetics, but I am hoping that as I lose more weight then hopefully it will go away.  Best of luck!

Me too, I found as I've been going thru the hair loss stage, it didn't effect the facial hair, but a great thing I did was buy that No NO...it works!

I have that from my PCOS, I get it on my neck.

It has gotten better for me with weight loss, but isn't gone completely. It gets worse when they get ingrown (which I am prone to!!)

Nice to know I'm not the only one with this problem!

it is actually NO NO Hair, and is only sold on TV. It has been featured on many TV shows including Dr. Oz and it is a new way to remove hair. It isn't permanent, but it greatly slows down growth and makes it finer. I do my face and neck and it is baby smooth for at least 2 weeks, my legs even longer, but the facial hair grew faster than the legs to begin with. Check out their website for the info. I just googled no no hair and it came up.

Im hoping it goes away.  I know it is a side effect of the PCOS so my understanding is what hair you currently have will not go away but you will stop developing more.
I went to a Doctor and had laser treatments about 2 yrs ago and they said it would be effective.  After 3 treatments at $100 a treatment they said oh yeah we can get rid of the current hair but as long as you still have the medical condition (PCOS) you will keep getting more so would have to continue treatments indefinately.  Wish they had told me that before I spent so much.

I did notice this as well but not dark hair just fine light hairs but more than what I used to have. It seems less now that I've lost some weight so keep hope!

    Hi

I also have this and it's because of the PCOS. I went through laser as well. I have found that as I lose weight, my PCOS symptoms are going crazy again. I also get it when I gain weight! It's a no-win situation.

Anyway, my facial hair is starting to grow in again. Mind you, it is lighter and not as sever as before laser. My doctor told me that using birth control will help the PCOS symptoms and should stop more growth. I'd recommend getting a full hormone workup from your gyno or endo.

    Take care

    Tamara
