So I read a thread on the RNY board aboutsomething called Kim's Magic Pops, which I had never heard of before. I looked them up online and they were described as a puffed wheat/corn/rice cake. Fat free, low carb and no sugar, very low cal, about the size of a small tortilla, but thicker and crisp/crunchy. I thought they sounded interesting, but assumed I would never find them.

Well fast forward to this evening, I walk into a Longo's on Bayview in Thornhill, and right on a table inside the door, big bags of them, made in-store. They are terrific! 19 cals each, 4 grams of carb, no fat, no sugar. They are Steamed into being in a special machine. They are very satisfyingly crunchy, chew down into nothing, and the pouch really likes them! I put a little NSA peanut butter on jam on one - really good! Later, I broke one in half, put some meat and cheese between the two pieces and ate it like a sandwich. I haven't been able to eat anything like a sandwich in over a year ( pouch doesn't like bread much except in tiny, tiny amounts).

    I think I am in love! :)

Sold in bags of 20 for $2.99. Anybody seen these in other Longo's stores?

You can also get them at Real Canadian Superstores, Loblaws and Asian supermarkets/stores. They melt in your mouth. Love them!
