100 lbs lost
I am down 100 lbs. I still have about 40-45 to go...my end weight is flexable..I am sure that I will know when it is right to stop...or my body will just do it on its own.
I can say this..the further out I get the harder it gets to not go back to old ways..I can not fit in the amount of food I could before but its still up to me to make the right choices. I can tell you at PMS time I am HUNGRY...I want chocolate, chips, junk... for the most part i am able to ignore those feelings but they are there and sometimes I do indulge.
Wine is soooo yummy... but please be careful..1 in 10 end up with an alcohol/drug/some other addiction problem don't become a statistic.
I remember being new, watching all of you who were close to a year ou****ching pictures and feeding on every word. The truth is life gets back to normal. Day in and day out stuff just goes on like it did before...the difference is I am doing it in a size 10 rather then a 22. I can move my body better... I still get hungry, I still eat, I still struggle, I still have stress. but I feel way better.
NSV'
I can run...
I can cross my legs,
I can reach every single inch of my body
I am wearing a ring that didnt' fit at all ( on my middle finger)
I am wearing a size 10
I can go into any store and fit in clothes
I never have to go plus size ever
I fit in every chair
I do not fear breaking furniture or fitting
I can sit on my boyfriends knee without worrying I am hurting him.
I can tie my shoes without contorting my body or runnign out of breath
I can wear heals all day long and my feet don't kill.
I look nice in cloths now... not frumpy.
I have no problems keeping up with anyone.
Here is a reality...NO ONE can do this for you... every second of work comes from you, every piece of food you put in your mouth is your decision... there is no real right or wrong...everyone is different and everyones experiences are different.
Still after 7 months post op the BEST decision I have EVER made.

((((HUGS))))) It sucks getting closer, and being at goal. Like Christmas is over...and now what?
My therapist just said something important to me, because I have a feeling of let down with the marathon being over. And I had a week of eating what I wanted, because I just did a marathon. Wrong thinking. He agreed, indulge for a bit, but to continue is not great. In the meantime set non-food goals. For me, it's my next race. I need something that consumes a good portion of my time. I might not always need this in my life, but for right now it's necessary.
Food will always be a battle, for most, if not all of us. I think there's a small (and perhaps lucky) percentage that end up without the hunger we eventually see again. Mine came back at six months out. Others it doesn't happen until a year.
Keep up the wonderful work!!

Juls, you are doing great! Congratulations on reaching 100 lbs lost - what an amazing achievement!
I totally agree with your points on hunger, and that it gets harder not to go back to old ways. I am brutally hungry during PMS time, and also am fighting to control overeating between supper and bedtime. It gets harder and harder the further we get out from surgery!
I love your list of NSV's - you sound so happy and healthy!
