Anyone else notice after surgery that they have bad breath or a constant "weird" taste in their mouth? I'm finding myself brushing multiple times a day and its still there!

Mine happened before surgery, it's a sign that you're in ketosis. It's horrible, like a heaviness on your breath. Ugh!

Is it sort of a metallic taste?  That's what I have going on (end of week 1 of Opti).  It's really hard to describe the taste/feel -- but it's a bit gross.  I tried gum yesterday but that didn't help at all, in fact the gum grossed me out even more.

Unfortunately or maybe fortunately depending how you look at it but I have had a strange bitter taste pretty much since surgery (almost 2 months) nothing really tastes good anymore. I imagine this will change so I am looking at it as a good thing for now. I find sugar free mints good and they help settle my grumpy tummy and the bad breath.

Listerine pocket packs breath strips help.  They have a cinnamon one that is really good, I hear you about that sour taste.

I am five years out and still have that terrible ketosis breath. keep drinking water and yes gum or breath strips help. It is due to eating extremely limited carbs:)

May be you can try having lots of water . Or else you can visit the doctor and get some mouth washers that might help.
