So... I'm on the bench!

So I had my surgery on Friday, it was scheduled for 1pm... But we went earlier at just before 12... I was an emotional wreck, I was scared, that my liver wasn't small enough, despite the 18.2lbs I lost on my 2 weeks of optifast... But my boyfriend said the first thing the doctor said was "she did a great job shrinking the size of her liver, the surgery took less time to do and she is recovering well!" I'm still beside myself, can't believe I had the surgery! Had a great team of doctors, anesthetist, and nurses, even the other patients were great! Well now that the surgery is done here comes the real work!

Congrats Lyn!!! YOU DID IT! I go on Wednesday and although I am not worried about the surgery itself, as the day approaches it is all I think about. So right after surgery, the surgeon goes to the waiting room to speak to your SO? I hope you are feeling OK, and did you get to meet or chat with JUDYELIZ??? I haven't seen a post yet from her. I believe you guys were on the same day?

Yes, you can ask the nurse to tell the surgeon to give your family an update. I msged her, but didn't hear from her yet, I think OH was down so that may be why... But thank God it's over... On to recovery! All the best with your surgery and keep me up to date!
