Surgery DVD
I noticed when doing my research that a lot of people who go to Mexico are given a DVD of their surgery. Was wondering if it's an option in Ontario.
I meet with my surgeon on Friday and plan to ask him but wondered if anyone had gotten one. I'm not squeamish and would love to see my insides lol!

Hi meow I am 4.5 months out and there was no DVD (I am through TWH like you) BUT if you go on YouTube several of the doctors in Mexico and some in the US have clips of the whole surgery from the point of being inside the patient. I watched both the vertical sleeve one and the Roux en Y including the leak test they did after. I didn't get squeamish or grossed out at all and found it to be informative and interesting. I can't access YouTube here from work so I can't send you the links. But do a search and you should have no problems.

The short answer is no however because I met with a Fellow he told me to run it by the surgeon on the day of surgery. He said he had never heard that request before.
