Question about activity post op

Hello,

I had my orientation group presentation at TWH this evening.  I have been doing some reading.  I do know that I will have to take it easy after the surgery (that is some major re plumbing!)  But how long before I can get back to regular activities.  I am an active fat person, or at least try to be.  I love biking and running around doing competitive agility with my dogs etc.  

Were any of you into sports or regularly enjoying a somewhat athletic activity pre op?  If so how long did it take to get back to 'normal'?

for me it was walking as tolerated for the first 4 weeks, after that I was allowed into the pool and did laps and lots more walking, I think it was 8 weeks before I had the go ahead to begin normal exercise, weights etc again as tolerated.
