What type of cpap mask do/did you wear?

Hey there!

I have been wearing a cpap mask for years. Different ones here and there. The one I have now is the N10 nasal pillow, and really, it sucks.

What make/model of mask do you have ....or better yet, do you like it?

It's time for a new one, and I want to see what others prefer.

Cheers,

Skotti

Hi there,

I wear the AirFit 10 which covers both nose and mouth and I like it ... I knew I could never wear the nasal pillow because when I lay on my back my mouth opens.  Cathy

I have two that I like. Both full face ones. Resmed Airfit F10 and Philips Respironics Amara View.

Have you gone on the website cpap.com? There is a quiz about the mask type that would work best for you & they carry over a dozen types.  They are U.S. based but ship all over the globe.  I really liked their service & supplies - you would be surprised the accessories you can find.

Thanks for the info.

For the ones that have the F10, have you experienced any leaking problems when on your side, or even just in general?

Cheers,

Skotti

I don't find mine leaks at all no matter what position I sleep in.  I did end up with a compression sore on my nose from it but then I did from other masks as well.

I haven't had any issues with leaking ... you just need to be sure that your head gear is adjust properly. Cathy

I only ever seemed to like the Fisher & Paykel FlexiFit 431. Thankfully my provider of choice were always kind enough to specially order it for me (although they would have me try other full face or nasal masks from time to time first).

Even the 432 was ever so slightly different that it just didn't work out well. My biggest issue was that I tended to wear my headgear tighter than I probably should have.

When I first started out using CPAP I would breath through my mouth, but eventually I became a nose breather 95% of the time, but I was so used to the fit and feel of the 431 full face mask that I just couldn't stand anything else.
