I am 11 days out and planning ahead for my puree stage. I am allowed cereal that is soaked in milk so what types of cereal do you use? I like all brands flakes but am not sure if I am allowed. Any advice is appreciated.

Always consult your Centre for final ok, I would avoid the  cereal to be honest , carbs are the enemy for as long as you can hold out. In the beginning especially so early I would try to stick with a protein shake or some egg whites when allowed. The craving for carbs should be low or mental. Avoid cereal/carbs

just my opinion

Thanks for the input. I am allergic to eggs and TWH said non sugar coated cereal was OK.  Guess I will stick cream of wheat.

Cream of wheat still has lots of carbs.  What about some Greek Yogurt?  Lots of protein.  If you get the PC SKYR plain, you can add different flavourings, like the sugar free maple syrup.

I tried oatmeal during the liquids stage with lots of milk... It was painful and I felt nauseous after. It was just one food that didn't sit well. I tried it again a few times. It's been fine since about 8-10 months post-op.
