Work Clothes Shopping

Hi everyone,

I usually go to Ricki's to shop for clothes for work but I hate capri's and that's all they are selling right now. I really like the pull on pants.

Since my weight is slowing I'd like some nicer pants but don't want to spend $90 per pair.

Where is your go-to place to shop for clothes? Finally my leg size seems to be catching up to my stomach size for pants - so I'm anywhere from a 10-12 in the waist and a 12-14 in the legs.

Help! :)

My go-to is Reitmans. They have dressy and casual and various lengths in pants. Tall, regular and petite. If you get on their email list you'll always know when there are sales too!

My go-to is also Reitmans and Maurices. My daughter worked there part-time while she was in college, and before that, I didn't even know what the store was. They have both casual and dressy clothes, shoes, scarves, etc. They have a "Smart" line similar to Reitman's "Comfort" that is a pull on with some support.

It's weird to no longer go to the plus section and shop the regular sizes. The large tops are now getting too big although I haven't even tried on a medium. I'm fitting into a size 14 capri (I know, yuck Jo), and feel "pretty as a picture".

You can look online first on either site and everything appears to be on sale. Why do they get rid of all their summer clothes by July 1st so that come August 1st, there is only the full priced fall line to choose from?

Happy shopping!

I had good luck at Marks Work Wearhouse, and also Reitmans, but not so much there. Check out Marks, pull on style and reasonably priced as well.

Old navy and reitmans are both my go tos...as well. the sale stuff at reitmans is very good so sometimes i will buy things that are on sale that are too small for me...it's a risky thing but it's worked for me!

oh i also wear a lot of dresses..you can get away with it being a bit big...and it saves you money because you're not always buying new tops and bottoms...
