what are you eating/doing Thursday

Hello everyone: Thought I would start out the thread this morning. I really love the accountability of it.

My pouch pain lessened by dinner and I was able to eat dinner and go for a run yesterday. This morning though I had my morning coffee and it is back. I think I need to cut out the coffee - I am mostly doing one half decalf / half regular. The dietician said I could have coffee now, but my pouch does not like it - boo. Seeing gp tomorrow so will not let this pouch pain fester.

I am at a golf tournament today - everyone knows I have had the surgery that I am golfing with and one lady that I am golfing with has had the surgery as well. Here is my plan:

breakfast: greek yogurt

snack: turkey sausage, 1 string cheese

lunch: greek yogurt, buffalo chicken

snack: turkey kolbassa and cheese

dinner: chicken and salad (buffet is a BBQ rib and chicken deal)

I will pack all of my items and likely a protein drink as a extra. The tournaments are hard as it is free alcohol, free snacks (chips, peanuts, chocolate, hot dogs, burgers), all day - so I will be saying "no thank you" a lot :)

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning :)

I made it to my mom's house yesterday -- took about 8 hours as I got stopped by a terrible accident that closed a highway, then construction, then a bridge that was open for boats. The puppies went crazy when I got here, and I got lots of snuggles.

Today we are going for a drive to do some errands for my mom. Everything else is just up in the air.

I did a boot camp workout this week and I can barely move. It was an amazing full body workout. I can feel pretty much every muscle from shoulders to toes lol.

Breakfast - protein shake

Snack - cheese whisps

Lunch - tbd

Snack - turkey sausage

Dinner - tbd

Snack - protein shake

All water and vits.

It definitely sounds like an acid problem. You may need to go back on your PPI. I know I could not tolerate even crystal light (too acidic) before i started my PPI.

I have a back to back day today, not sure how I'll fit in a bathroom break. Looking forward to the CNE tomorrow. That will be hard! I dropped to 140.2 to my surprise this morning. but have kept my calories to around 1300 for the last week which is slightly lower. been trying to be at 1200 but too hungry.

b. Premier w/ espresso

s. chia pudding with fruit

l. kale salad with chicken, pumpkin seeds and poppy seed dressing

s. chia pudding with fruit (and likely some nuts)

s. premier w/ espresso

d. probably a protein oat muffin.

You might try more dense protein. It will usually keep you full longer. also remember often when we think we are hungry we are really just thirsty. Try a drink first.

nope it is just my grazing habits when under stress coming into play. Work has been brutal so fighting the grazing urge throughout the day (I'll get it even when i'm full).

Hungry in the late evening which is when I drink most of my water. I've started doing a handful of nuts before bed otherwise I can't sleep with the tummy growling. I usually have dinner in the 6-7 pm window (which is usually dense protein if I have time), so if I go to bed at 11 or midnight without food my tummy keeps me up. The nuts seem to work for me and clearly I need the calories because I'm supposed to be maintaining and have dropped weight again this week.

Good morning all. Work today then home. Yesterday was a crazy day at work. Hoping today is a little quieter and I can get some work done for when I am away.

Just saw a weather report for the week we are in Switzerland. It calls for rain or clouds. Not sounding great for going to mountain tops. Hope it changes.

Hey Pat. How exciting to go to Switzerland. Its just beautiful!

Hope all is well with you. Like me, you seem to rotate most of the same dense protein foods. I think its the key to our long term success. You've got me thinking of chili now! I'm ready for some fall type foods.

We have been planning this trip for months. We will be in Switzerland for one week, Germany for one week and Iceland for one week. We leave a week this Friday. After all the planning it seems unreal it is actually here.

Good morning,

I like the accountability as well and hope you're feeling better Leeann. Sometimes I can do black decaf, and sometimes not. Having just one a day - for the most part - with lots of water with lemon or Chai in the afternoon. It's funny that I, too, sometimes experience stomach upset with Crystal Light, but not with lemon juice straight from the bottle. Preservatives? I was prescribed the Prevacid for six months and will see how I fare past this prescription with acid intake.

B - protein with black decaf. (2 today)

L - 3/4 cup 1% cottage cheese

S - Armstrong cheese stick

D - 6 Blue Menu chicken meatballs and 1/2 cup green beans

S - Skyr with unsweetened applesauce
