Step 1: showing up to the Hospital in Toronto for my 1st appointment. CHECK :)

Step 2 : sign up here .... TWH advised this was a great site for support and learning. CHECK :)

Step 3 : ASK FOR HELP on where to start? OKAY.... lets do this! CHECK :)

I would love a little hand holding, some guidance and knowledge to turn into Wisdom in the next year before my surgery. Thanks in advance.

Hi - WELCOME!!!

I was lucky I had a certain bubbly positive who person come over and introduced herself. Gave me great advice and has been on here supporting as well. I was shy about being on here...but it is great. I am part of TWH as well. I will be continuing in the late fall.

The TWH staff is amazing. They really care and are not judgmental. They have great things in place to help us all. If you have any questions ... the ladies and gents here either have been through it or are going through it.

You are in the right place- Jo

This is such a great site full of caring and compassionate people. No judgement, no criticism; just support and help. I think the thing I like the best is that whenever I have posted something someone comments they either wondered the same thing or experienced the same thing.

No one understands what you are going through like the people here.

You are in the right place. Welcome!

I forgot to add that I was totally overwhelmed, scared, questioning and quite frankly freaked out when I first started this process. It's all good. Take your time, breathe and work your way through it. It will be fine.

You guys have been great. Are there any in person meet and greets? Other than the one at TWH?

It is a great program. I would start by cutting back on pop, sugar and caffeine and read everything you can get your hands on. Welcome aboard. Best decision I have made in a long time.
