for the last 10 years i have been afraid to sit on ANY furniture that looked less than 100%solid. i have been convinced that i am too heavy for regular scales, i have been afraid to fly in a plane. but now, i don't feel afraid to sit. i am so much less than i was at my highest. i just feel the world, while not made for someone my size is not made to exclude me.

its a nice feeling.

I may not be there yet, but I'm closer than I was yesterday!

That's a great NSV!! Happy for you!! I'm still struggling with the fear I'd've going out solo which developed after a couple bad falls I took at my highest. One with my stroller and I couldn't walk after and had to wait with my baby at a bus stop for my partner to come rescue me. Bad scene. Sometimes these fears that crop up seem irrational to others but when you've had negative experiences and can't trust all will go well because of physical limitations it can get pretty daunting. So I get it!! I'm not there yet but feeling more confident every day. It's great to hear stories like this!! Thank you for sharing.

I am so happy for you that you are not afraid anymore. It's a pretty stifling way to live life. This surgery has opened up so many doors for most of us. I find it absolutely amazing.
